Snake Hero: Uwabami (スネークヒーロー ウワバミ Sunēku Hīrō Uwabami?) is a Pro Hero and a celebrity.

Appearance[]

Uwabami is a curvy woman with long blonde hair that is styled in curly locks in the front with folded curls in the back that is pressed by a curved plate and golden eyes with vertically slit pupils. Her most distinguishing feature is the three snakes (a rattlesnake, a yellow King cobra snake, and a Japanese rat snake) that are seen protruding from her hair.

In her hero costume, Uwabami wears a maroon dress with scale-like details (which, in the anime, is a simple maroon dress), matching high heels, and a choker, and golden snake-like bracelets on her wrists and ankles.

Personality[]

Uwabami possesses a celebrity-like attitude, but mostly remains a calm and level headed Hero. She appears to prioritize her modelling jobs over her hero work, as she only chose to mentor two U.A. students because they were cute enough to be in her commercial.[1]

Despite this, she does not forget her obligations as a Pro Hero and she is seen aiding other heroes and the police in rescuing victims.

History[]

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes[]

Sky Egg Arc[]

Heroines Pageant

Heroines dazzling with their beauty.

On the occasion of the return of Captain Celebrity to the USA, Makoto Tsukauchi decides to organize a farewell show at the Tokyo Sky Egg, inviting several of Japan's most famous heroes to the event, including Uwabami.[2][3] She participates in a pageant along with Mirko, Midnight and Ryukyu, while Best Jeanist uses his Quirk to manipulate a large cloth to dress and decorate the heroines.

In the middle of the event, the Tokyo Sky Egg is attacked by creatures known as Bombers, commanded by the villain Number 6 who wants to kill Captain Celebrity.[4] The structure is damaged during the attack, and the heroes are organized into two groups: one group goes outside and confronts the enemies, while another group helps the show staff to look after the spectators without telling them the truth about what is happening, to avoid panic. Uwabami is part of this last group,[5] being assisted by Ingenium's sidekicks.[6]

Thanks to the intervention of the heroes, and the timely arrival of All Might, they manage to avoid a tragedy.[7][8]

Synopsis[]

Vs. Hero Killer Arc[]

Momo and Itsuka intern with Uwabami

Uwabami takes on Momo and Itsuka as interns.

Uwabami first appears when Momo Yaoyorozu and Itsuka Kendo choose to intern at her agency. She informs them that heroes are able to have side jobs despite the controversies. She lets them know that she's preparing a commercial and requests that they stick around. Itsuka asks how this relates to hero work, but Momo believes that whatever the Snake Hero is teaching them is worth experiencing, and mentions that she offered Momo an internship despite her loss at the U.A. Sports Festival. Uwabami questions them both on why she offered them internships, Momo answers that it's because she saw heroic potential within them. Uwabami says that she did, but also says that she chose them because they're both cute young ladies, leaving them both perplexed.[1]

Momo and Itsuka spend the internship shadowing Uwabami as she attends photoshoots and interviews.[9] Later on, they all appear in a demo commercial together for "UNERI Hairspray". Uwabami says the commercial will air in a month, Itsuka remarks on how weird it'll be that they'll appear on TV, while Momo tries assuring herself that these lessons are what it takes to become a Pro Hero.

Uwabami then takes Itsuka and Momo patrolling afterwards, much to their delight.[10] While out on patrol, Uwabami runs into a mob of her fans. She tells the girls that if they keep working hard, they can earn a fanbase too.[11]

Hideout Raid Arc[]

Following the fight between All Might and All For One, Uwabami helps conduct rescue operations alongside the police. She uses her Quirk to help locate victims trapped underneath the debris of destroyed buildings.[12]

My Hero Academia: Heroes: Rising[]

After Class 1-A sends a signal for help on Nabu Island, Uwabami is one of many pros who arrive, and assist in rescuing the students and civilians.[13]

Paranormal Liberation War Arc[]

Uwabami is one of the Pro Heroes assigned to the Hospital Raid Team led by Endeavor.[14]

Abilities[]

Charisma: Uwabami is a celebrity hero and television personality who is considered quite beautiful and charming.

Quirk[]

Serpentress ( (じゃ) (はつ) Jahatsu?): Uwabami's Quirk gives her a trio of live snakes growing from her head. The snakes have acute senses, allowing her to locate hidden criminals and disaster victims.[15]
