Toshinori Yagi vs. All For One: Finale is a battle during the Final War that is the final confrontation between All Might and All For One.

Stain and Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight assist All Might in the later stages of this fight.

Prologue[]

Toshinori preparing for the Final War.

Before the borders between Japan and the United States were closed, Toshinori arranged for several imported support items to aid in the final battle against All For One and Tomura Shigaraki's forces. Among them was a custom-designed robotic suit, the Armored All Might, which Toshinori helped conceptualize. It was created specifically for him by Melissa Shield, the daughter of his former American partner, David Shield.[1]

As the final confrontation begins, All Might remains stationed in the control room, directing the heroes across the battlefield. However, the situation rapidly deteriorates when Endeavor forces All For One to resort to a dangerous fallback: the Rewind Drug, a reverse-engineered version of the Quirk-Destroying Drug developed by Kyudai Garaki. This drug rewinds All For One's body to his prime, though at the irreversible cost of continuous de-aging. Aware that his Vestige within Tomura has been suppressed, the villain races from Gunga Mountain Villa toward U.A. High School to ensure his fusion with Tomura is completed.[2]

Despite the heroes' best efforts to stall him and exhaust the rewinding effect, they fail to stop All For One, with Hawks losing his Quirk, Fierce Wings, in the process. With limited time before his body rewinds into nothingness, All For One presses onward toward Tomura. Recognizing the urgency, All Might leaves the control room. When Naomasa Tsukauchi asks where he's going, Toshinori simply replies that he's going to support the others.[3]

As the Counter Force assesses the damage and calls for reinforcements, they learn that Dabi, having been warped to Gunga by Kurogiri, is preparing to self-destruct, threatening to obliterate everything within a five-kilometer radius. With no heroes able to stop All For One, and the villain nearing the range to use his Warping Quirk to reach Tomura, the situation becomes critical.

While en route, All Might contacts Shoto and Ingenium in Kamino Ward, instructing them to rush to Gunga to confront Dabi. Shoto expresses concern about All For One, but All Might reassures him that a "mighty ally" will handle it. He urges Shoto to cast aside all doubt, because only he and Ingenium can protect everyone in Gunga. Meanwhile, Stain arrives in Kamino on a glider and silently acknowledges the resolve of the young heroes as Ingenium carries Shoto at full speed.

According to Hawks, the de-aging effects of the Rewind Drug has made All For One physically stronger, but left him unable to suppress his worst urges and emotions. Knowing this, All Might jumps into his car, Hercules, and drives to Ido City, intent on intercepting All For One. Naomasa pleads with him to reconsider, warning that a Quirkless man can't defeat a monster like All For One, but All Might insists that this was always his fight.

As All For One approaches Ido City, All Might reflects on the long war that brought them here. He realizes that Tomura's hatred has begun to corrupt All For One's original body, and that the villain will not be able to ignore him.[4] He recalls the prophecy given by his former sidekick, Sir Nighteye: a vision of Toshinori dying a horrific death at the hands of a villain. Though he never expected the "young man" mentioned in the prophecy to be All For One, Toshinori now accepts that this might be his final stand. He also remembers meeting Izuku Midoriya, a Quirkless boy determined to become a hero. With a proud smile and unwavering resolve, All Might faces All For One and activates his trump card, summoning Armored All Might while shouting his iconic phrase: "I AM HERE!".

The briefcase Toshinori has been carrying unfolds to cover his body in armor. He commands Hercules to activate the cameras linked to the Counter Force. La Brava immediately begins broadcasting the live footage, and to the surprise of the Police Force, she streams it to the entire world. Naomasa, fearful that the world may witness the death of a former Symbol of Peace, pleads with her to shut down the feed.[1]

Battle[]

Enraged by All Might's persistent smile, All For One attacks.

Enraged by All Might's persistent smile, All For One attacks.

All For One glares down at All Might, viewing him as both his greatest obstacle and favorite toy. He knows this confrontation is merely a ploy— one last act of defiance meant to stall his advance. They both understand how this will likely end. But, just as All Might predicted, the villain cannot ignore the sight of the powerless former Symbol of Peace standing tall with that ever-defiant grin. The sight enrages All For One, pushing him to lash out with an overwhelming Impure Beam.

All Might charges forward, instructing Hercules to activate the Red Riot module to shield his body from the blast. All For One’s beam obliterates several buildings behind All Might, but the armored hero survives the hit and keeps flying toward his enemy. Hercules reports that the shields have been depleted by 66% and won’t hold a second strike—but All Might remains undaunted.

All For One loses an arm in the backlash of his own attack and immediately recognizes All Might’s aggressive approach—his old style of charging head-on without hesitation. He scoffs, claiming that style only worked when All Might wielded One For All. As the two close the distance, All Might suddenly unleashes a tangle of electrified cables, ensnaring All For One and shocking him with the combined power of Blackwhip and Chargebolt.

The surge disrupts the regeneration of All For One’s arm. Seizing the moment, All Might activates the Cellophane module to reel the villain in. He reflects aloud that ever since All For One's last battle with his former master, Nana Shimura, the villain had developed a habit of opening fights with reckless ranged attacks. As he summons Sugarman to his foot, All Might continues, pointing out that All For One's strategy of wearing down enemies before stealing their Quirks only works on those who have a Quirk to steal.

Back in the control room, the Counter Force watches the fight unfold. La Brava asks Naomasa if he still believes he knows how this will end. All Might explains that both the suit and the car were designed solely to help him stay in the fight just a little longer, and he personally submitted the request. Reflecting on a conversation with Izuku Midoriya about defying fate, All Might declares that everything he's ever been blessed with will now be brought to bear against All For One. With fierce determination, he unleashes a devastating Shoot Style Smash, reminding his archnemesis that he never charges into a fight expecting to lose.[1]

All Might remains resolute in his plan to keep All For One fixated on him, who is caught in a spiral of obsession and rage. As intended, the villain becomes increasingly unstable, preparing a devastating barrage of Quirks: Spring-ify, Brawn Boost, Air Cannon, Rivet Stab, Dark Ball, and Impure Beam. Combining them into a single catastrophic blast, All For One unleashes it to obliterate everything in his path.

The force of the attack sends All Might hurtling through multiple buildings. However, he manages to survive thanks to the Utility Cape Auto Guard: Tsukuyomi module, which shields him from the brunt of the blast.

Recognizing that he's successfully agitating his opponent, All Might takes this as a sign to keep pushing. But Hercules quickly warns him: the cape has been destroyed, and scans show fractures in his clavicle and left humerus. Despite the damage, All Might calmly instructs the suit to activate movement assist at maximum output as All For One closes in on his location.

Hovering above the battered hero, All For One mocks his persistence. He sneers that All Might's belief in the armor is misguided, and that the suit is just a glorified trash bag holding together what's left of a broken man. He adds that once the gadgets are gone, All Might will have nothing left.

In that moment, All Might recalls when Izuku asked Mei Hatsume to build him support gloves—and how he once cautioned the boy not to rely too heavily on support items. With a smirk, All Might fires back at his archnemesis, quipping that great minds think alike. He reflects on his first meeting with Nana, drawing strength from the past, and then charges forward once again, landing a direct punch to All For One's face. Though the hit connects, the villain endures it without flinching. He coldly declares that he's not fooled by All Might's stalling tactics, and that he can spare a moment to clean up the trash.[5]

All For One retaliates with a blast of energy, hurling All Might backward. But the hero isn't fooled, as he sees through the villain's composed façade and knows it's all an act to mask growing desperation. In that moment, Hercules launches a new support module to All Might's side: Superacid Injection: Pinky. All Might drives the injector directly into All For One, and the corrosive acid begins eating away at the villain from within.

As All Might reflects on his fateful first meeting with Nana, a furious All For One lashes out again, blasting All Might clear across the city, all the way to Tatooin Station, where the armored hero crashes onto a rooftop. Meanwhile, in the Counter Force's command center, they realize All For One is closing in on U.A., but has veered off course, choosing to continue chasing All Might. Hercules informs All Might of his worsening condition: fractured ribs, full-body contusions, and respiratory malfunction. As All Might struggles to breathe, he looks down and recognizes the rooftop, the same place where Izuku first learned the truth about his injury. He thinks back to when Izuku recklessly charged in to save Katsuki Bakugo from the Sludge Villain, and to Stain's words about what All Might meant to the world.

Despite the brutal damage, All Might rises to his feet once more, surprising even All For One, who now appears even younger. All Might chooses not to acknowledge it, knowing any sign of recognition might snap the villain back to reality. He suspects that All For One had to activate Quirks to expel the acid, accelerating the rewind process. Maybe taking damage speeds up his regression.

The former No. 1 Pro Hero catches himself mid-laugh, but the sound of his laugh infuriates All For One even more. All Might then calls out to Hercules to keep the support gear coming. As the white in his right eye returns, he declares with conviction that it's a joy for him to be in the service of others. In response, Hercules deploys the remaining attachments. The Uravity and Ingenium thrusters engage at full power, propelling All Might forward with renewed speed and force, committed to ending the fight. At the same time, during the battle between Deku and Tomura, the Vestige of All Might within One For All senses the fierce clash unfolding in the real world.[6]

All For One chases All Might down.

All For One chases All Might down.

While All For One continues his relentless barrage, All Might uses his newly deployed attachments to dodge the incoming attacks. As he maneuvers through the battlefield, he notices the villain growing increasingly frustrated with the one-sided nature of the fight. Utilizing a combination of Tentacole, Froppy Suction Pads, Shoto, and Tailman, All Might dashes through a narrow alleyway, setting the stage for a trap. He realizes that if taking massive damage shortens All For One's lifespan, there's a particular Quirk that can help him press the advantage. But due to its energy requirements, he must use Anima to carry it into position high above the battlefield.

As All Might makes his move, All For One intercepts him in the alleyway, mocking his earlier bravado. He jeers at how All Might was laughing like a lunatic moments ago, only to flee now. Confident that he doesn't need to expend much effort to break the former hero, All For One lashes out. Bracing against the sides of the alley, he unleashes a barrage of Rivet Stabs, narrowly missing his target. As All Might takes to the sky, he's confronted by two monstrous mouth Quirks. Descending quickly to avoid being crushed, he accuses All For One of lying about conserving power, but the villain coldly affirms he's still holding back.

All For One strikes All Might's injury.

All For One strikes All Might's injury.

All Might continues to run from the crushing maws, as All For One taunts him, claiming his grin has finally vanished. He mocks his opponent's broken body, his reliance on armor, and what he sees as cheap imitations of his students' Quirks. He tears away parts of the armor with another wave of Rivet Stabs, gloating that the world is watching as the former Symbol of Peace plummets toward defeat— now reduced, in his eyes, to the "Symbol of Impotence." Suddenly, All For One bursts through a wall ahead of All Might and strikes directly at the old injury he inflicted years ago, intending to extinguish the last flicker of his rival’s flame.

But All Might endures. Using Tailman to cushion the blow, he counters by entangling All For One with a tentacle, then launches him upward straight into a massive airborne trap. He than uses Shoto to blast All For One with Ice, freezing him, and All Might declares that All For One still fails to understand: light may flicker, but even if his own is extinguished, another will always rise to carry it forward. High above, Anima has placed the final piece in position. Now in control of the moment, All Might, battered but resolute, triggers a final attack using Can't Stop Twinkling, engulfing both himself and All For One in a brilliant, explosive blast.[7]

After locking All For One in place with Tentacole, All Might discards the attachment to escape the path of the skybound laser. He quickly uses Invisible Girl to help shield himself from the laser's intense heat. Hercules warns that the engines powering the sky laser are overheating and the battery is failing, but All Might insists on maintaining the pressure before All For One can break free. He draws strength from the memory of Star and Stripe's sacrifice; even if he lacks her ability to solidify energy, her spirit drives him forward.

As fire rains down from above, All For One is quick to flee. All Might counters with Sound Wave Vibration: Earphone Jack, disrupting the villain's movements. Though his legs are weakened from the earlier attack to his midsection, All Might presses on. The whites of his eyes continue to return, and he silently notes how fortunate he is that All For One, so fixated on seeing his face, didn't go for a killing blow to the head.

All For One retaliates with another barrage of Rivet Stabs, several striking their mark. Still, All Might activates Morphing Armor: Creati, generating Binding Rounds: Grape Juice to tether the villain’s arms to the ground. Exhausted and bloodied, All Might pushes through, telling his nemesis to fade away— his euphoria keeping the pain at bay.

Meanwhile, in a distant country, a young boy watches the live broadcast of the fight with an elderly woman. Curious, he asks who the thin man in black is. The woman replies that she doesn't know much about heroes and says the outcome shouldn't matter to them. Still, the boy continues watching, visibly concerned for the armored hero's fate.

All For One survives, even younger and glowing.

All For One survives, even younger and glowing.

Just then, the sky laser overheats and detonates prematurely, failing to deliver a final blow. All For One, now visibly younger, begins to glow as his body continues to Rewind. He mocks All Might, claiming his support items can't exceed their limits. All Might goes in for another attack, All For One blasts a wave of energy that the Hero barely dodges, but the glowing villain rushes in front and smacks him away with an enlarged right hook.

With the Armored Hero struggling to get up, the young Villain mocks how he's lost his smile and hopes, and is now twisted by despair and agony. A growth starts to appear on All For One's right shoulder and morphs into deadly spikes, and is ready to make All Might suffer just as he made him suffer. Just before All For One can unleash his attack, he suddenly freezes.

Stain joins the fray.

Stain joins the fray.

A voice from above says that blood runs red in everyone. All Might looks up to see the Hero Killer: Stain descend into the fray, perched atop a glider. He licks blood from a shard of rubble, activating his Quirk, Bloodcurdle, and immobilizing All For One. With fierce determination, he calls out to All Might, urging him to finish the fight.[8]

Before arriving, Stain had already pieced together the situation by overhearing Shoto and Ingenium's conversation. Following the path of devastation led him to a trace of blood that hadn't yet been washed away by the rain or scattered by the wind. Even with his mutilated nose, his acute sense of smell allowed him to identify whose blood it was. The shard of rubble he picked up bore no trace of All Might's blood, telling him everything he needed to know.

All for One uses Bloodlet to protect himself from All Might and Stain's attacks.

All for One uses Bloodlet to protect himself from All Might and Stain's attacks.

Stain then asks All Might if he understands why he stepped out of the shadows and revealed himself. He reflects on their past encounter, remembering how he once said that a hero can only earn that title by serving others. And if a god has fallen to Earth, made mortal and vulnerable, then surely he deserves to cling to life with all he has left. All Might affirms that he understands, and together, the former Symbol of Peace and the Hero Killer prepare to face the de-aging All For One side by side.

However, All For One unleashes Forced Quirk Activation on himself, using Bloodlet to expel all the blood in his body, taking both All Might and Stain by surprise. He reveals that he anticipated Stain's interference and saved this particular Quirk just for him. Back during the assault on Tartarus, Stain was the only prisoner who defied All For One's control and escaped on his own.

All For One grabs Stain with a monstrous limb.

All For One grabs Stain with a monstrous limb.

Stain tries to counter by licking the blood splashed on his face to activate Bloodcurdle, but it fails. All For One had already used Antigen Swap to change his blood type, rendering the Quirk ineffective. As Stain reels from the failed attempt, All For One grows a grotesque mouth from his shoulder and clamps down on the Hero Killer. He proudly declares that he's always made sure to never leave a trace of himself behind, and by draining his own blood, he's been able to restore some of his strength.

All Might charges forward to rescue the Hero Killer, but All For One intercepts him, hurling the armored hero across the city and crashing him through multiple buildings. Without hesitation, the villain launches himself toward Stain's location, while All Might struggles to recover and give chase. Stain lies battered inside the ruins of a destroyed game center as All For One looms over him. The villain declares that he's taking Bloodcurdle, recognizing that while Stain played a key role in shaping the League of Villains and Tomura's development, his purpose ends now.

All For One mercilessly kills Stain.

All For One mercilessly kills Stain.

As All Might roars and rushes to stop him, Stain calmly responds that his role isn't ending, but is simply part of the larger process. He says that despite never receiving a formal education, it was All Might who taught him what it truly meant to be a hero. With his final words, he urges All Might to survive and to win. In that moment, All For One steals Stain's Quirk and ends his life.

As All Might arrives too late to save Stain, All For One shifts his focus back to him, preparing to unleash a devastating blast. Just as the attack is about to land, the remaining pieces of Hercules rocket into the air and shield All Might from the blow, stunning the hero with their final act of protection. The AI tells him he must survive before both are consumed by the explosion.

"Do your worst!"

"Do your worst!"

Toshinori struggles to rise, his body battered and broken. In the haze of pain, he sees a vision of Nana Shimura, urging him to stand, telling him his story isn't finished yet. He knows it's just a mental pep talk born of desperation, but it gives him pause. Then, another vision, Sir Nighteye, appears, reminding him that his tools, his legs, everything he's sacrificed may be spent, but he's not dead yet, as he still has breath in his lungs. Dragging himself forward, All Might refuses to give in. With defiance in his eyes, he calls out to All For One, daring him to do his worst.

Just behind All Might, the U.A. fortress was still plummeting from the sky due to Himiko Toga's Doubles, but as the clones began to vanish, the floating fortress regained stability and remained airborne. Meanwhile, All For One had finally positioned himself within range to use his Warping Quirk, giving him the opportunity to summon Tomura, who was still locked in a fierce one-on-one battle with Deku. Ever since injecting himself with the Rewind Drug, this moment had been his goal. If he could transfer the copied Quirk to Tomura, the boy would evolve into a version of himself that even All For One could not surpass.

All For One tries and fails to warp Tomura towards himself.

All For One tries and fails to warp Tomura towards himself.

All Might, battered and barely standing, tries to regain the villain's attention. But as All For One begins to activate Warping, dark goop starts emerging from Tomura's mouth. However, Tomura resists, swallowing the substance and rejecting the interference. He tells his master to stay out of his fight. All For One pauses, realizing that his Vestige has been completely consumed by Tomura. His twisted grin returns as he redirects his focus back to All Might, now fully intent on finishing what he started.[9]

Just beyond the edge of the airborne U.A. fortress, the Business Course students were still recording the battle between Deku and Tomura, but their attention shifts as they spot a severely injured All Might being carried through the air by All For One. The villain taunts him, mocking the ideals he once stood for and telling him to take responsibility for the "silly dreams" he planted in the hearts of children.

All For One drags All Might's battered body to his impending doom.

All For One drags All Might's battered body to his impending doom.

While grappling with Tomura, the villain tells Deku he should go save his mentor, taunting that while he's distracted, Tomura can get his revenge on the heroes who stood against him before. Deku watches in horror as the broken body of All Might hangs limp in the air. A chilling thought takes root— this could be the moment when Nighteye's vision finally comes true. Though he'd promised to leave those tearful days behind, the sight shakes him to his core, and the ninth wielder of One For All fights back tears once again.

Inside One For All, the Vestige of All Might begins to flicker and fade, just as Deku calls out to his fallen mentor. Hearing his successor's desperate voice, All Might remembers how Deku's journey began: the boy gave everything, held nothing back, and never let his dreams die. And in that moment, All Might refuses to let his own dream fade either.

All Might is willing to sacrifice himself to speed up All For One's rejuvenation.

All Might is willing to sacrifice himself to speed up All For One's rejuvenation.

He pulls himself up toward All For One, revealing he still has one final support item hidden away. As he activates it, All For One is suddenly struck by vivid visions of Nana's final moments. In them, she declares that he will fall to All Might, because the future Symbol of Peace is even more unhinged than he is. All Might, with a wide grin across his face, braces himself, ready to take both himself and All For One out in a final act of defiance.[10]

Unfortunately, before he can execute his plan, All For One strikes first, unleashing Spearlike Bones to impale All Might's arms, destroying his gauntlet and crippling his final weapon. With chilling satisfaction, All For One tells him he doesn't get to decide how he exits this world. He then licks the blood from All Might's wounds and uses Bloodcurdle, freezing him in place with.

After preventing All Might from sacrificing himself, All For One paralyzes him to torment him.

After preventing All Might from sacrificing himself, All For One paralyzes him to torment him.

The Villain recalls the lesson he once learned firsthand: that a hero backed into a corner is the most dangerous of all. But here, in this moment, he asserts, All Might will accomplish nothing. All Might stands completely paralyzed, both physically and emotionally. All For One grins so wide that his cheeks begin to tear open, relishing the sight of his greatest enemy finally brought to his lowest point.

La Brava tells Gentle, who had been keeping U.A. from falling, to go help All Might. Just as the reformed villain prepares to make his move, All For One fires a blast that tears through the school, forcing Gentle to stay behind. All For One mocks him, saying he'll be crushed beneath the weight of his own righteousness. Meanwhile, Ethan Drive and the other X-66 pilots arrive to assist All Might.

All hope seems lost...

All hope seems lost...

Ethan orders them to aim and prepare to fire, but they hesitate, afraid of hitting All Might, remembering how much Star and Stripe admired him. Recognizing the jets, All For One reacts swiftly, blasting them out of the sky before they can take action. Across the entire viewing world, Naomasa, Deku, Melissa, Gran Torino, and countless others watch in horror as All For One lifts the battered Symbol of Peace above him, ready to tear him apart.

Just when all hope seems lost, a sudden presence appears in a huge explosion. At the edge of the U.A. barrier, high above the chaos, Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight returns. His eyes lock with Deku's below, a silent vow passing between them.[11]

Deku and Dynamight combine Gearshift and Explosive Speed: Cluster...

Deku and Dynamight combine Gearshift and Explosive Speed: Cluster...

All Might once again recalls Nighteye's vision, the grim prophecy looming larger than ever. Just as All For One prepares to deliver the final blow, Dynamight rockets in with his Explosion Quirk, rushing toward Deku. Without hesitation, Deku reaches out his hand, and the two heroes move in perfect sync to save All Might.

Inside One For All, Toshitsugu Kudo realizes what Deku is about to do. He warns that if Deku uses Gearshift again, he won't be able to withstand the blowback, and that it should only be unleashed once the path to victory is certain. But beside him, the Vestige of All Might has vanished from the One For All realm. Kudo falls silent, now understanding the weight of what must come next.

..

...defying fate and saving All Might from All For One!

Spinning through the air, Deku activates Gearshift, launching Dynamight forward, who uses Explosive Speed: Cluster to propel himself. Tomura watches, confident that Dynamight won't make it in time. He realizes the faint and blurry All Might Vestige within One For All existed because the hero was still alive, and now, the Vestige is becoming more defined. Tomura grins, believing that once the man who inspired the world with his dream dies, so too will the dream itself, leaving only cold, harsh reality.

But as Dynamight draws closer, Nighteye's final words echo in Deku's mind: the energy born from hope and determination can defy fate. The world holds its breath, praying for a miracle. In those final seconds, Dynamight remembers his rematch with Deku, and the guilt he carried over All Might's retirement. Then, in a burst of speed and resolve, Dynamight reaches them, severing All For One's arms and saving All Might at the last possible moment. The Vestige of All Might within One For All fades once more into a faint shimmer. All Might is left stunned, but Dynamight stands firm, declaring that it's time for them to win.[12]

Aftermath[]

Nighteye tells Toshinori he deserves to live.

Nighteye tells Toshinori he deserves to live.

As All Might is rescued, he experiences another vision of Nighteye, who tells him that this is where the dream ends, but not his life. Fate, he says, has been reshaped. All Might remarks that everyone knows the old master is supposed to die after passing the torch, but Nighteye chuckles, saying Toshinori's just read too many comic books. He reminds him that while he's a hero, he's also human, and he doesn't have to die so easily.

Meanwhile, Dynamight makes a rough landing atop a nearby building, away from All For One. When All Might asks if he's okay, Dynamight replies, "That's my line," before coughing up a puddle of blood. Edgeshot slithers out of Dynamight's body in his Zenith state, saying the same line himself. He explains that he forced Dynamight to expel the pooled blood from his system and used his own body to patch up his injuries. The No. 4 hero reassures him that the internal knots he tied won't come undone, but until he gets proper medical care, every breath will be agonizing. Dynamight thanks his senpai for bringing him back, but Edgeshot clarifies he only held him together; the real comeback was made possible by a single bead of sweat inside Dynamight's bloodstream, created just before his heart stopped.

All Might's gift to Dynamight.

All Might's gift to Dynamight.

All Might notices that Dynamight's right arm is limp following his dramatic rescue. As Dynamight looks out and asks who the glowing kid is, All Might explains it's All For One, then asks him to extend his arm. He asks Dynamight to come closer to him as he entrusts the young man with the final remaining piece of the Armored All Might suit, telling him that while it no longer functions as intended, it can still serve as a brace for his injured arm. All Might wishes he could give more, but Dynamight simply smiles, then dashes forward, ready to face All For One once again.[13]
