Raito Sanda (三田来人 (サンダ ライト) Sanda Raito?) is a third-year middle school student from My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions.[1]

Appearance[]

Raito is a boy with wild, spiky hair and eyebrows that resemble bundles of electricity. His eyes are pitch black with white pupils. He wears a standard boy's middle school uniform, and carries a book bag over his right shoulder.

Personality[]

Raito is a serious person, who takes his studies very seriously. He has a particularly good memory, and makes sure to properly learn everything he can, even being capable of debating support gear equally with Mei Hatsume. He has a tendency to heavily analyze things around him, and was even compared to Izuku Midoriya in that respect.

His dedication to his studies pays off, with Raito having the top grades at his school and a reputation as a very promising student, who was nearly guaranteed to make it into U.A. High School's competitive Hero Program.

Synopsis[]

Raito and Fuji Fukiyose visited U.A. High School's Prospective Students Day to learn about the school. They first looked into the Support Course students, where Raito and Mei Hatsume discussed the gear she developed for the U.A. Sports Festival; however, when the discussion ran on, Raito was pulled away by Fuji. The duo tried to find the Hero Course, but ran into Business Course students instead; after nearly getting distracted by their smooth talking, they ran away from the students, finally finding the Hero Course.

There, they participated in the Hero Course's immersive lesson, a game of tag between prospective and current students. Each prospective student was paired with a current student, who had to take their headband, with both students allowed to use their Quirks. Raito was paired with Katsuki Bakugo.

Once the game began, Raito immediately took cover, darting from hiding spot to hiding spot, to Katsuki's annoyance. Raito explained how the game's rules benefited him over Katsuki, but he was ignored; instead, Katsuki lunged towards Raito, but was shocked by his Quirk. Realizing he was unable to make contact, Katsuki blew up the ground, causing a dust storm that blew off Raito's headband, ending the game. As they left, Raito thanked Katsuki for the match, and discussed with Fuji how he felt that he was screwed from the outside; Katsuki simply responded that Raito wasn't cut out for the Hero Course, confusing him.

After leaving the event, Fuji went to buy drinks, and Raito contemplated what Katsuki had told him. While he thought, he was approached by Business Course students, who roped him into a mock debate on the sustainability of a Quirk-based society.

When he returned from the debate, Raito had decided that he wanted to enter the Business Course instead of the Hero Course. He explained to Fuji that he realized he didn't really want to become a Hero, and had simply been following what others expected of him. Instead, he felt stimulated by the debate, and thought that the Business Course was a better fit for him. While initially confused, Fuji congratulated him on deciding on his path, and the two students resolved to ace the next entrance exams.[1]

Abilities[]

Quirk[]

Unnamed Electricity Quirk: Raito's Quirk involves electrical shocks, though exactly how is unknown. He has been shown to shock those who come in contact with him.
