The Quirk Amplification Device is a support item invented by David Shield.
Description[]
In order to restore All Might's power, David and his assistant Samuel Abraham researched for years to develop equipment that could revitalize Quirks. They eventually invented a support item that could exponentially increase the power of the user's Quirk without directly affecting the body. This meant the user's Quirk could be enhanced without the negative side-effects of drugs like Trigger.
However, their sponsors at I-Island feared the damage that such a device could inflict upon society should it fall into the wrong hands, believing it would drastically change the structure of superhuman society. Therefore, governments from around the world put pressure on David to end his work on the project. The device and its research ended up being confiscated and locked away in the I-Island tower's security vaults.
David and Sam went to extreme lengths to get the device back, staging a villain attack on the island so they could recover it. David wished to give the device to All Might so it could restore his fading Quirk, willing to face whatever punishment he would earn afterwards. Although, it turns out that Sam hired real villains and intended to sell the device to them, lamenting on how David allowed their life's work to be taken from them and wanting compensation for the time they spent on it. However, Wolfram betrayed them both and took the device for himself, then kidnapped David and intended to have him mass produce it so he could sell the devices on the black market.
Despite still being in its testing stages, the device showed to greatly enhance Wolfram's Metal Manipulation Quirk and greatly extended its reach and power. Furthermore, combined with his enhanced muscle Quirk given to him by All For One, Wolfram could even overpower an exhausted All Might.
The device itself was a sophisticated headset, it also came with two gray cartridges and a blue container, though the purpose of them both were unknown. It was destroyed after Wolfram's defeat.[1]
