Onima (オニマー Onimā?)[1] is a Pro Hero and one of the over 30 Sidekicks who work at the Endeavor Agency.[2]
Appearance[]
He wears a horned happuri that frames his face.
Personality[]
He is described to be very dedicated to work with Endeavor and the Flaming Sidekickers. He is even friendly towards the new Work Study Interns, Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, and Shoto Todoroki. Onima is also serious about his hero work, going so far as to support Shoto during the final battle against Dabi.
Synopsis[]
Vs. Hero Killer Arc[]
After the Hosu Incident and the capture of Stain, Kido and Onima are responsible for guarding the Nomu who was defeated by Gran Torino until he is arrested by the police.[3]
Joint Training Arc[]
During the Joint Training Battle, Onima informs Endeavor that they are receiving a multitude of requests for Team-Ups and interviews. Endeavor simply orders him to compile a list of the team up offers, being more interested in trying to contact his son, Shoto.
Since he does not get any replies, Endeavor yells Shoto's name while engulfed in flames. Onima suggests that Shoto is probably in class at the time, while his partner, Kido, expresses concern about the mental state of Endeavor.[4]
Endeavor Agency Arc[]
Onima was present during the introduction of the new Work Study interns, Izuku, Katsuki, and Shoto, and greets them with open arms to the agency.
Paranormal Liberation War Arc[]
Onima joins Endeavor in the largest hero operation to defeat the Paranormal Liberation Front. He is tasked to assist the heroes in the Jaku Hospital Raid to capture the mastermind behind the Nomu creation, Kyudai Garaki and apprehend the incomplete Tomura Shigaraki. Unfortunately, the plan went awry when the doctor unleashed the Nomu which results in the awakening of Tomura and destruction of the hospital and major portion of Jaku City. Fortunately, Onima and several other heroes survived the Decay attack and join the other Heroes in trying to defeat the remaining Near High-End Nomu which escaped with Tomura.
Final War Arc[]
In the aftermath of the War, the remaining Heroes develop a plan to defeat the villains and All For One. Using Yuga Aoyama as bait, they successfully lure All For One and his army of villains into the open, and are teleported onto the battlefield thanks to Neito Monoma copying Kurogiri's Warp Gate Quirk. Once the heroes and villains are in place, All Might activates the "Troy" defense system to trap the villains in cages, as the Heroes shove as many of them into each Warp Gate, splitting them up all over Japan.
Onima joins the Flaming Sidekickers and Shoto to deal with Dabi in Kamino. The heroes aid Shoto through his gruelling battle against his brother, helping protect him from the fire with their Quirks so he can build up his special technique combining his fire and ice, Phosphor. He is eventually able to utilize this ability to strike back and defeat his brother.
Onima was in charge of securing Dabi, amazed at how the villain was still alive even after getting burned by his own Quirk. Unfortunately, Onima was caught off guard when Dabi managed to copy Shoto's Phosphor, reivingorating himself and burning Onima up.[5]
