Mawata Fuwa ( () () () 綿 (わた) Fuwa Mawata?), is a student in Class 2-A at U.A. High School, training to become a Pro Hero.[1]

After the Final War, Mawata has moved up a year, becoming a student in Class 3-A. Eight years later, Mawata has graduated from U.A. High School, becoming a Pro Hero.

Appearance[]

Mawata is a girl with layered light pink hair that reaches down to her shoulders, her straight bangs parted to the left, tucked behind her ear, and left to fall over her eye on the right. She has round, gray eyes that slope slightly downwards towards the sides of her face, framed by rather long eyelashes and noticeably dark eye make-up, their light pupils appearing to be shaped like small stars or clouds.

As well as the standard female uniform for U.A., Mawata wears a pair of puffy, cotton ball-shaped earrings.

Synopsis[]

History[]

Mawata was formerly a First-Year student of the Erasure Hero: Shota Aizawa, and would fear his harsh training during her first year. She and her classmates were expelled by Shota, only to have them re-enrolled so they can "face death" and strive to be better.[2]

Paranormal Liberation War Arc[]

When Shota leaves with Hizashi Yamada to Tartarus, Class 2-A takes notice of how grumpy he looked before he left and compares his expression to that which he wore when expelling someone, while also remembering the time he expelled the whole class, only to have them re-enrolled so they can "experience a death". As her classmates share their thoughts, Mawata states that, while admittedly it was bad that people had to be expelled, it was also an event that helped the class grow overall. Her classmates disagree though, saying that because of the incident everyone in Class 2-A now has a permanent mark on their record.[2]

Final War Arc[]

Mawata takes part in the final battle of the Final War, in which all the remaining Heroes faced off against "All For One". She and the rest of the Heroes were warped to Mt. Fuji by Shota and "Kurogiri" and began to counterattack against "All For One's" massive stockpile of Quirks.[3]

She assisted all the Heroes in keeping "All For One" busy, allowing Izuku Midoriya to rush forward in a straight path towards him, and execute a final deadly blow to the Villain,[4] resulting in Tomura succumbing to his injuries as his body disintegrates into ashes.[5]

In the following month of June, the third-year students at U.A. High are finally having their graduation after the end of the Final War. Mawata comes to the stage to give the students a farewell speech. After Mawata gives the farewell address as the students' representative, the graduates' representative, Mirio gives a speech to all the students.

Shortly afterwards, Mawata speaks to the new Class 2-A, telling them that the second and third years of the hero course will be joining the greater restoration effort, which she is in charge of organizing; in addition to the restoration projects, they'll also be involved in the nationwide effort to maintain law and order. She continues that they've made it past All Might's retirement and the war in Jaku, reminding them that after all the major battles in their textbooks, there's a period of chaos the books don't talk about. Mawata then casually addresses Shota as "Era-sen", surprising the students, as she reveals she used to be in his class, and is jealous they weren't expelled like her, but mentions how he gave them a taste of "death", but it's thanks to that they realized why they wanted to be Heroes, causing Shota to feel embarrassed, before she leaves.[6]

Abilities[]

Quirk[]

Unknown Quirk: Mawata's Quirk is unknown, however, it appears to involve her cotton ball earrings, whose size can be altered in some way.[7]

Mawata's Quirk was revealed on a Japanese exclusive. Her quirk allows her to create a cotton like fiber. She also has the ability to harden the fiber.
