Manchester Smash

Manchester Smash (マンチェスタースマッシュ, Manchesutā Sumasshu^?) is an Ultimate Move performed by Izuku Midoriya using the One For All Quirk.

Description[]

Izuku leaps into the air and flips forward to bring down an axe kick to his opponent. Although Overhaul managed to dodge it, it pulverized the ground thoroughly enough that Overhaul wasn't able to completely retaliate with his Overhaul Quirk.^[1]

Trivia[]

This is the first Smash move that is not named solely after an American state or city- it may be referring to Manchester, New Hampshire, or Manchester, Connecticut (both of which would be consistent with All Might's established theme).
Since the kicking style in this Smash move resembles kicking a football, the name "Manchester" could be a reference to one of two English football clubs: Manchester City F.C. and Manchester United F.C.
Manchester Smash is featured as a technique for Izuku in Jump Force.
