Kamino (
Description[]
Kamino Ward is a large town in Yokohama with many inhabitants and businesses. It also served as the hiding place for Tomura Shigaraki and the League of Villains. Their hideout was eventually discovered, leading to the Kamino Incident that nearly destroyed the ward.
Following the battle between All Might and All For One, the city has been rebuilt and a statue of All Might stands at "ground zero".[1]
Landmarks[]
League of Villains Bar[]
Tomura Shigaraki and Kurogiri originally began their assault on hero society while hiding inside an abandoned bar. This place would serve as the main hideout of the League of Villains.
The hideout was taken over and mostly destroyed by All Might and the Hideout Raid Team.
Nomu Factory[]
An abandoned warehouse that stores Nomu in stasis for the League of Villains. The Hideout Raid Team treated this warehouse as the second League of Villains hideout.
It was destroyed in the fight between All For One and Best Jeanist's squad.
Dirt-Cheap Donki-Oote[]
A cheap clothing store where Momo Yaoyorozu suggests her group buy disguises for their mission to rescue Katsuki Bakugo.
Ground Zero[]
In the same place where the battle between All Might and All For One took place, a plaza has been built. In its center there is a statue of All Might recreating his gesture of victory after winning his last fight as "Symbol of Peace".
It is in this place where the Meta Liberation Army left Giran's shirt and one of his thumbs.
At some point after the Paranormal Liberation War, due to increasing distrust in Pro Heroes, a sign saying "I am NOT here" was put around the statue's neck.
Ground Zero becomes one of the main areas of focus for the Final War. It is here that Dabi is warped to, so that the Heroes can try and defeat him.
Trivia[]
- This ward is composed parts of Minami ward and Naka ward in the real world.
- Like other My Hero Academia locations, "神野" (Kamino) comes from planet Kamino from the Star Wars universe, where the Clone Troopers were manufactured. Similarly, this is where the facility that All For One uses to create Nomu is located.[2]
- The location's name is spelled in an ateji manner to make it look like a native Japanese name, its two characters meaning "god" (神) and "area" (野).
