Th-there’s nothing half-assed about it. My family… means the world to me!Hokuto Hario to Number 6 in "Who's That Now?"
Hokuto Hario (
Appearance[]
Hokuto was a middle-aged man with small, circular eyes, a large chin, and short black hair slightly parted from the left side of his forehead.
His hero costume consisted of a bodysuit that is slightly smaller than his build, causing his stomach to be partially exposed. The suit was fastened by a belt with a C-shaped buckle. In the chest area of the jumpsuit was a picture of an eight-wind compass rose. He also wears a pair of light gloves, a light cape, and a dark pair of boots, all of which are decorated with arrows. Sitting on his face was a small domino mask with two outward-facing arrows placed where his eyebrows are located.
Personality[]
Hokuto was shown to be an optimistic person who was amicable around others, even those he had just met. Despite being a lower-class hero with not a very good pay grade, Hokuto admired his job for the peace of mind his work helped bring civilians. He also clearly loved and valued his family, desiring to be a Hero who his kids could look up to.
However, his positive personality became the basis that led to his unfortunate demise. Hokuto's failure to notice Number 6's true colors soon resulted in him getting brutally killed in the process.
Synopsis[]
Final Performance Arc[]
Around the time when Bee☆Pop began her rampage, Compass Kid was sent out to patrol with Rock (Number 6).[1] While patrolling the streets, he has a friendly chat with him discussing how he wanted his children to think he was cool before he retired. Soon an explosion alerted the heroes of Bee☆Pop's attack, but Compass Kid was unable to contact backup, so he and the other heroes aimed to evacuate the civilians.[2]
While evacuating citizens, Compass Kid and Rock let out a sigh of relief when they hear the siren. They calm the citizens by telling them that horn indicates that Endeavor and his team is about to deploy and ask them to take shelter in a nearby building. Compass Kid uses his Pointer Quirk to find people who haven't manage to flee and asks Rock to help him with the evacuations.[3]
Later, they hear a particular siren indicating to the other heroes to go ahead and apprehend Bee☆Pop. Compass Kid wonders why Endeavor has stopped attacking, with Rock explaining it's due to the flaws of Endeavor's Quirk on his body. With that being said, Compass Kid suggests they go further to capture the villain and runs ahead, only to come face to face with a Bomb Bee. The Bomb Bee ends up getting destroyed by Koichi as he zooms past the duo while aiding other Heroes in their struggle against them.
Compass Kid also witnesses the situation where three Heroes that pursued Koichi have been shot down. He then notifies Number 6 of the scene he just saw. Number 6 attempts to mislead Compass Kid by saying that "The Crawler" was the one responsible for this mess. This plan backfires as Compass Kid points out that he noticed Koichi was aiding other Heroes, while the person who shot them was someone else, so he uses Pointer to find the one responsible.
Upon realizing he's pointing at Number 6, Compass Kid is immediately grabbed and dragged to an alley where his "ally" plans to kill him. Number 6 drops his façade and angrily tells the Hero that he is just an "opportunistic scum" that doesn't care about his family. When Compass Kid reveals that his family means the world to him, Number 6 is taken aback and is actually impressed by Compass Kid's resolve. Unfortunately, Compass Kid knows his true identity, so Number 6 activates the Bomber cells in his arm and blows him up. The only thing left of Compass Kid is his disembodied hand, still pointing at his own killer.[4]
Abilities[]
Quirk[]
Pointer (指差し Yubi-sashi?): Hokuto's Quirk allows him to point toward whatever or whoever he's looking for. He needs to spin around in order to activate this power. Since he points with his arms and legs, he can point in a maximum of three different directions at once, leaving one leg to stand on.
