Ginji Kurau (喰 (くら) 有 (う) 銀 (ぎん) 次 (じ) , Kurau Ginji^?), also known as Ginji (ギンジ, Ginji^?), is a villain who escaped Tartarus due to a prison riot caused by All For One. He serves as a minor antagonist in My Hero Academia: You're Next.

Appearance

Ginji appears as a young adult with scruffy white hair, a strong built body, and an intimidating expression. He has noticeable fangs rather than normal teeth and due to his Quirk, has a large mouth centered on his stomach with cerated teeth.

After Anna Overmodified his Quirk initially, Ginji's body grew slightly and gained extra mouth-like appendages from his shoulders.

Upon another unintentional usage of Anna's Quirk, Ginji's body darkened and reddened, with his stomach mouth becoming more monstrous and growing more mouth appendages on his shoulders.

After Dark Might dealt a powerful blow to him, Ginji was reverted mostly back to normal with his teeth in his normal mouth shattered and chest having a faint dark pattern from his previous form.

Personality

Ginji is an equal opportunist who only seems to take interest in causing mayhem to the public. This was seen with Ginji immediately focusing his new modified powers on some civilians. It doesn't matter who he works for, as long as it benefits him, as seen with his alliances with Gollini Family, and then with Anna, where he sided with both only to betray both due to his own interests.

Being a villain, he has very little care for the lives of citizens as seen when he bulldozed through a building to escape from Dark Might, not minding about the civilians that were going to be toppled by the debris.

History

At some point, Ginji was apprehended by Best Jeanist and subsequently brought in to Tartarus.

Quirk

Mad Gluttony (暴食, Bōshoku^?): Ginji's Quirk allows him to devour objects from the giant mouth in his stomach. When enhanced by Anna's Quirk, he can sprout mouths from anywhere on his body.

Trivia

• His Quirk and form when enhanced from Overmodification is likely inspired from the Pokémon Guzzlord, which is also referred to by the codename "UB-05 Glutton".
