Okuto Island

Okuto Island (奥 (オク) 渡 (ト) 島 (じま) Okuto-jima?) is a southern island located in the Pacific Ocean, 200 kilometres offshore from mainland Japan.

Description[]

The island features wide shoals, gorgeous views of the ocean, and a number of resorts. The main attraction of the island is the "Okuto Aquarium", serving as a popular spot for domestic and international tourists. The aquarium is maintained by its director, Kugo Sakamata.[1]

The island acts as one of the primary battlefields of the second War against the Paranormal Liberation Front, specifically intended to contain Himiko Toga.

Trivia[]

  • The design of the aquarium, and Gang Orca's role as its director, serves as a reference to Horikoshi's first series, Oumagadoki Zoo.
