Summary[]

Dynamight uses his Quirk to clear the smoke.

Deku takes the first move in his reluctant fight against the rest of Class 1-A, and sends out a massive blast of Smokescreen to blind his classmates. The students were well prepared for the extra Quirks Deku unlocked thanks to information provided to them beforehand, and Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight disperses the smoke with a Land Mine Blast while telling his class not to let him escape.

Deku tries to Float away but is swarmed by a flock of pigeons called by Anima, as he tries to tell his rogue classmate that the principal said it's okay for him to return to school. Deku fires a tendril from Blackwhip and pulls himself away from the birds, before his wrist is lassoed by a strand of Tape from Cellophane, who comments on his appearance starting to scare people.

Deku rips off the tape, while thinking about the time Cellophane helped him master Blackwhip, and manages to dodge a Heartbeat Wall fired by Earphone Jack as she's being carried Tsukuyomi's Dark Shadow. She tells Deku that while it's small and probably doesn't mean much, she appreciates how he helped her organize the notes she made in preparation for the School Festival, and that the gesture made her really happy.

Tailman then dives in and binds his fleeing classmate with a Tornado Tail Dance. He tells Deku that he was grateful for the time he fought Hitoshi for his sake in the Sports Festival, and he doesn't have to go into this fight alone in his current condition.

Creati tries to put Deku to sleep.

Deku breaks free, and says that they'll get hurt and targeted by All For One if he stays, before getting tackled and pushed into a building by Tsukuyomi and Dark Shadow. Sugarman then lands on a streetlight with Tailman and Earphone Jack safely in his arms, and yells at Deku to hear him and his class out, and that if he doesn't then he'll stop letting him borrow food dye whenever he makes candy apples for Eri.

Inside the building, Dark Shadow presses Deku up against a wall, before being caught by mechanical restraints and a face cover expelling gaseous anesthetic made by Creati. She walks up and tells Deku that the class was originally going to fight alongside him, but with Endeavor and the other Heroes' assistance, they now prioritize securing and getting him to safety.

Class A continues to prevent him from running away.

Deku smashes the device before getting pinned down by Chargebolt and Tentacole, with the latter alluding to how hypocritical he's being by taking this responsibility all by himself, when he said back at the Quirk Training Camp, when they teamed up against the Vanguard Action Squad, that their group has the potential to go toe-to-toe with All Might. Tsukyomi then swaddles Deku with Ragnarok: Womb, and tells him that this move was inspired by the strategy they came up during their Cavalry Battle.

Their capture attempts fail, as Deku burst out of the building with a surge of One For All and takes off into the skies, as his face mask and cowl fly off. He begs them to stop, even though he's aware of their concerns as Danger Sense isn't going off, and promises the group that he's fine. Deku then crashes into a Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall made by Shoto, as he and Froppy ask him to be honest about his emotions and let them help him.

Back at the scene where Dictator was defeated, Endeavor meets up with Red Riot, Invisible Girl, and Can't Stop Twinkling, and asks them to help keep the civilians safe with Hawks. Hawks then calls Endeavor and suggests that Best Jeanist be brought in to capture Deku immediately, as the three students run off to speak with their rogue classmate while he's stuck in the ice. Endeavor asks to not let the other Heroes bother the children as they deal with it.

Meanwhile, Deku is trying to force himself out of the trap Shoto made, as the other boy brings up that this situation could also be something that All For One wants, as he could easily target U.A. while the students are out in the city, and that if he wants to truly protect his friends and his school, then he needs to come back and let his class deal with it alongside him. Deku barely manages to break out of the ice and fly off again, and tells Shoto that is a fight between One For All and All For One, and that his friends can't keep up with him.

On the ground, Ingenium runs while Uravity jumps up at the call of her name. Up above, Froppy flings Grape Juice with her tongue, before he snags Deku from behind with his Mineta Beads. He shouts that it wasn't his friend's Quirk that made him think he was cool, but what he did with it back when he helped him and Froppy carve out a path to escape back in the U.S.J., despite being just as terrified as he was back then. Deku apologizes to Grape Juice and gently lowers him on a nearby roof with Blackwhip as he tries to escape with Faux 100 Percent. He then rockets away, just missing Uravity flying down to grab him.

The girl then shouts to the rest of her class from above, as a giant ice ramp with railroad tracks shoots out from the city. Dynamight and Shoto are then pushed along the tracks, while being covered by a low-acidity version of Acidman by Pinky to increase their speed and reduce drag. Shoto then fires a Flashfreeze Heatwave behind him and shoots the pair off the ramp and on a course to Deku. Uravity then swiftly taps them with their fingertips to make them weightless, as Shoto falls off and Dynamight uses Cluster to maintain the flight path and close in on his stubborn classmate.

Ingenium finally reaches out to Deku.

Dynamight has things he needs to say to Deku, but he holds off on it for now as he blasts forward a third person who was hiding in Pinky's Acid: Ingenium, who boosts forward with his Engines while the armor on his costume begins to shred away. With Ingenium pulling ahead of Deku and grabbing him with an outstretched hand, Class 1-A proved the boy's assertions wrong by keeping up with him. Deku asks for him to let go, and Ingenium refuses with tears and a smile, as he is someone who runs anywhere to take the hand of a lost child, and meddling where you don't need to is the essence of being a Hero.

With Deku too tired to escape and him safely in Ingenium's grasp, Uravity releases the effects of Zero Gravity, and Red Riot activates Hardening and cushions the pair from their rough landing. As they come to a stop, Red Riot tells Deku that he realized he was the kid he heard about who rushed in to save someone from the Sludge Villain back in middle school, and that the person he was back then already showed his friends how strong he was without any kind of special power.

The rest of the class catches up to the three, and Pinky asks Deku to come back to class with them, as she doesn't want to lose anyone else. Deku once again refuses, and says while he wants to, he's scared about causing trouble for those staying at U.A. and proclaims that things can't go back to the way they were.

Dynamight then steps up to have his talk with Deku, who blankly stares at him. He admits that when Tomura impaled him with Rivet Stab, his body moved before he had a chance to think. Dynamight then says that he looked down on Deku for being Quirkless as kids, because he couldn't stand that the boy was way ahead him in other areas despite not having a Quirk.

It then escalated into bullying in an attempt to reject him, and once they got into the same high school, nothing ever went his way as each passing day was another reminder how strong Deku was, and how weak he was. Dynamight then looks up and acknowledges that this issue they have won't fully work itself out by just coming clean, but he wants to be honest of how he felt to Deku.

Katsuki apologizes to Izuku.

Dynamight bows and apologizes to Deku for all the horrible things he's done for him over the years. He ends off on saying that while One For All has allowed him to carry out his incredible ideals and that he's not wrong for continuing that, there are some challenges that he can't overcome with ideology alone, and that he should let him and the rest of Class 1-A help take care of the things he's incapable of handling. Deku then keels over and passes out as Dynamight catches him, but not before apologizing for asserting that his class could never keep up.

Later, Deku wakes up on Tentacole's back inside the upgraded U.A. Barrier, as Thirteen greets him and says the Heroes and police will be able to take care of things outside while he rests up. As they enter they see the civilians out front yelling at him to go away for being a threat to them and their safety, while Present Mic tries to quell the angry mob. Deku turns around to try and leave, but is stopped by Uravity, telling him that things will be alright, as she, their class, and the school, will step forward and keep her friend safe.
