Summary[]

All Might's Heroic Willpower

All Might swears to protect Deku at all costs.

All Might's car was able to shrug off the explosive tossed at it, and as the vehicle spins out of control and two thugs move in from the sides, he realizes their plan is to separate him from Deku so the Villains can corner him. All Might quickly alerts the other Heroes of the situation and jumps out of the car, which is then struck by two rocket-powered lances and crashes into a nearby wall.

The two Villains recognize All Might, though are unable to take him out despite acknowledging how he's gotten significantly weaker since retirement. They're paralyzed by the former Symbol of Peace boldly telling them to step aside. Remembering what he promised to Inko about keeping her son safe, he tells the two that Deku is bearing more of burden then he was, yet still idolizes him, and the day anything happens to his protege is the day he dies.

Izuku deflects one of the Lady Nagant's bullets

Deku manages to deflects one of Nagant's shots.

The fight between Deku and Lady Nagant rages on, as the boy tries to throw off the woman's accuracy by floating around in a zig-zag pattern while slowly closing the distance between them. Deku's efforts prove fruitless, as Danger Sense detects another bullet which ends up coming in from behind in his blind spot. He then deflects the bullet with a kick in the nick of the time as another grazes him on his torso, as he struggles to figure out how she was able to aim a shot from that position. After not sensing anymore hostile entities, he turns to see the Villain chasing him down with Air Walk, and curses himself for not factoring in the possibility of All For One giving her an extra Quirk.

Realizing she's trying to corner him, Deku then lands on the ground and releases a Full Blast of Smokescreen to obscure her vision. En's vestige once again warns Deku about the massive amount of his smoke obscuring his vision and compromising any escape routes, but the boy explains he's trying to buy time rather than evade her assault. Deku then begins repeatedly squatting on the ground while using the Third User's Quirk: Fa Jin, which allows him to store and release kinetic energy from repeated movements.

Lady Nagant aims her rifle

Nagant prepares to shoot Deku out of the smoke.

The Third User's vestige appears and warns Deku that he hasn't tested out his Quirk yet, and he's not the stage where he's fully mastered parallel-processing, per Endeavor's teachings, to where he can incorporate it into combat. Deku finishes preparing his next move, and tells the Third User that he'll just have to learn it right now as he tries and gets answers from Lady Nagant.

From above, the Villain fires a bullet toward a sudden movement in the smoke and looks through her rifle scope to find a decoy made by Deku throwing Gran Torino's scarf with Blackwhip. She then mistakenly fires at three more decoys sent out by Deku: his mask, his backpack, and a stray Blackwhip tendril. With her attention stalled and drawn away from him, Deku was able to quickly rush out of the smoke and through a nearby building using the stored energy from Fa Jin to latch onto her in the air.

Lady Nagant after committing a murder

Nagant confesses to how she was recruited to commit murders.

Lady Nagant then extends her rifle out the tip of her elbow and smacks Deku away before firing at him again. Deku asks why she's siding with All For One, despite her being a former Hero, and the woman just says that someone "dyed in that color" won't be able to understand her viewpoint. Through more shots sent towards Deku, and the microphones planted inside them, she reveals to him that she was covertly hired by the Hero Public Safety Commission as a teenager to assassinate those they deemed a threat to the status quo of hero society, regardless of whether they're Heroes or Villains, or if they actually carried out whatever they're planning.

The guilt and stress of her actions ended up eating away with her, to the point where she couldn't properly interact with a group of children excited to meet her without imagining blood slathered on her arms. With her image of hero society completely shattered, she later murders the-then President of the Commission during a meeting, after not being satisfied with his answers about whether her work truly benefits hero society. His murder was then covered up by the organization and following President as Lady Nagant being arrested for killing a Hero during a dispute.

Pinpoint Focus

Deku locates Lady Nagant's position and strikes back.

She then tells Deku that All For One's future makes more sense than their old one, as superhuman society is a fragile, false pretence, that will only reinstate the same problems she fell victim to if it's brought back. Deku then uses Pinpoint Focus to launch one of Blackwhip's tendrils into her line of fire and pulls himself closer to her, as he starts getting better at predicting and dodging her attacks. He then tells Lady Nagant that while he understands how gray the world really is, and how rotten the core of it might really be, that's why he wants to reach out and help people like her.

With her failing to inflict more damage on him, the Villain transforms her rifle into a large, more grotesque form and points it at Kai, who had agreed to go along with her to confirm Deku's identity in exchange for her taking him to see his Boss again. At the risk of jamming her gun, she fires another bullet at an increased speed in order to exploit Deku's heroic instincts and slow him down for her.

Izuku uses Faux 100%

Deku saves Kai.

Deku makes his way towards Kai while dodging more of her bullets with Blackwhip and some more energy he stored from Fa Jin when evading her earlier barrage. He then powers up One For All to 45% and unleashed Faux 100 Percent, which allows him to speed past the powered-up round and knock Kai out of its path. Deku then drops the man and latches onto the building with another Blackwhip tendril, before launching himself at Lady Nagant at blinding speeds and hitting her rifle arm with a Faux 100 Percent: Manchester Smash, shattering the gun barrel.

Lady Nagant then begins floating down in defeat, before Deku catches her by her good arm and begins speaking to her. The boy tells her that the shot meant for Kai was off-trajectory, and that if she really was in full allegiance with All For One then the first bullet she ever fired at him could've easily taken him out. Deku pleads with Lady Nagant to fight on their side, and knows that deep down she still has the heart of a Hero, recognizing the light she wants to bring out of the darkness she criticizes.

An explosion goes off within Nagant's body

Nagant is no longer useful to All For One.

As the woman begins to praise Izuku for being a true Hero, her entire body suddenly explodes, as All For One planted a self-destruction Quirk alongside Air Walk in case she went soft and breached her contract. Hawks and Endeavor then arrive to assist Deku, as the former and the boy catch the decimated Villain, and Endeavor flies up to apprehend Kai.

Though in critical condition, Lady Nagant tells the two that All For One instructed her and a few others to bring her target to a mansion in Haibori Woods. As she's set down on the ground, she then asks Hawks, who was effectively her replacement in the same role, why he didn't grow tired and disillusioned from his work unlike her. Hawks tells her that he's an optimist, and thinks about the Endeavor toy his mom gifted him back then, keeping him going all this time.

Lady Nagant tells Hawks and Izuku All For One's location

Lady Nagant reveals All For One's location.

Endeavor flies down with Kai who starts yelling at Lady Nagant for not honoring the deal they made. Deku then coldly tells Kai that if he shows the same sorrow that he has for his Boss for the things he did to Eri, then he'll fulfill his partner's end of the deal. The boy then thinks about the woman's ruined state and his failure to save her as All Might rushes in to help, muttering All For One's name.
