Gyges and Briareos attack the Nomus

Gyges and Briareos attack the Nomus.

After the intense fighting that occurred during the Paranormal Liberation War, All For One takes control of Tomura Shigaraki's body while at the Creature Rejection Clan's hideout and orders the Near High-End Nomu to free his real body.

Later that night, pro heroes Briareos and Gyges stand guard at Tartarus prison's Bronze Gate alongside numerous prison bots. The two heroes are discussing the recent battle, and remark that 132 Paranormal Liberation Front members are now on the run alongside 7 Nomu, while 145 Pro Heroes have been hospitalised. As they talk, the security bots activate. Gyges is trying to contact the Control Room when he sees three Nomu approaching.

Nomu defends against Gyges and Briareos

The Nomu activates a force field Quirk.

Immediately, the heroes open fire, with Briareos ordering to security bots to shoot the Nomu. One of the Near High-End Nomu activates a Quirk and creates a purple force field to protect their approach. Another Nomu steps forwards, inflating itself to shoot forwards the spikes that protrude from it's body. The sharp projectile hits Briareos, who is killed by the attack.

The control room requests a status report and Gyges warns them of an unknown amount of Nomu, adding that his brother was killed. He then announces this as a Code Red security alert and authorises counter protocol. Behind the Near High-End Nomu, "Tomura" comments about Tartarus's feeble resistance, before he readies his attack, obliterating the Bronze Gate with his Air Cannon Quirk.

Near High-End Nomus attack Troop Cottus

The Near High-Ends attack the drone squad.

At the same time, the guards in the Tartarus Control Room are talking about the capture of All For One's faithful servant, Gigantomachia. The screens in the control room display various prisoner's cells, including All For One, Hero Killer: Stain and Moonfish. An alarm starts blaring as the code red security alert flashes up on screen, informing the guards that the cell blocks are unlocked.

Within the prison, Tartarus is going into lockdown - barriers are lowering and blocking off halls, doors and exits are sealed off and the bridge to the mainland is lowered one section at a time. The drone squad is deployed to attack the intruders, but more Nomu appear from below the water to bring them down.

All For One's vestige restraining Tomura

Tomura protesting All For One's inhabitation of his body.

Above the fighting, Tomura wakes up upon the back of a winged Nomu. While Tomura protests All For One's inhabitation of his body, All For One expresses his concerns for the state of Tomura's body, and assures Tomura that he is not a pawn.

Tomura Shigaraki activates his stolen Search Quirk and locks in on All For One's location, 500 meters below sea level. Tomura leaps from the back of the Nomu, decaying a Tartarus' Control Tower 2, the effects spreading out across the prison. All For One remarks to Tomura that even if he used Decay on the building, he would be killed by the water pressure, not to mention Tomura's unfinished body would not be able to withstand the strain of using the Quirk to that extent.

All For One generates an EMP blast

All For One generates an EMP blast.

Combining his Air Canon and Radio Waves Quirks, "All For One" manages to create and EMP attack to momentarily disrupt Tartarus' whole security system. In the control room, guards rush to get the system back online before the prisoners realise what is going on.

Inside his cell, All For One activates one of his Quirks to disable the Tartarus security for good, deactivating the restraints and locks throughout the prison. All For One then exits his own cell, levitating his ventilator behind him.

As prisoners rush out of their now unlocked cells, suppression troops scramble to regain control. The villain Muscular breaks into the control tower as the guards ready themselves to assist with the prisoners. Several guards open fire upon the villain, but Muscular is unaffected thanks to his Muscle Augmentation Quirk and crushes the guards with ease.

Moonfish kills both guards and inmates

Moonfish kills both guards and inmates.

Elsewhere in the prison, a group of escapees is stopped by Tartarus guards. As the two sides prepare for a fight, a surprise attack from behind catches them off guard, the villain Moonfish using his Blade-Tooth Quirk to stab prison guards and fellow escapees alike.

Meanwhile, Stain watches from his ruined cell as escaped prisoners run to the exit, Lady Nagant amongst them. She pauses when she hears banging and realises someone is still locked in their cell. Nagant opens the door, freeing a now armless Kai Chisaki from his imprisonment, who immediately begins to call out for his boss. Nagant decides to take Overhaul with her.

Tomura reunites with All For One

Tomura reunites with All For One.

The escapees of Tartarus reach the surface, but they quickly realise that they cannot reach the mainland with the jail's bridge submerged. As they start to get frustrated, "Tomura" steps forwards, offering them a way off the island if they only follow him. A newly escaped All For One approaches his successor, talking of the era of chaos on the horizon and his plans of becoming the greatest demon lord this world has known.

To escape Tartarus, All For One hijacked an emergency craft using a brainwashed staff member's biometric ID, leading all of the escapees off of the island. On All For One's orders, the previously incarcerated villains went on to attack 7 different prisons, successfully releasing a large number of criminals from 6 of them.

All For One speaks through Tomura's body

All For One speaks through Tomura's body.

Meanwhile, Tomura, still being controlled by All For One, returns to the Creature Rejection Clan hideout and requests that Dabi, Skeptic and Spinner protect Tomura's body while it recovers. Spinner notices the difference in his leader, and expresses his concern, telling All For One that he is not the person he chose to follow. All For One reassures Spinner that he respects Tomura's feelings above everything else, and that once his body is completed, his every dream will be realised.

Elsewhere, hovering over the sea with a crashed plane beneath him, All For One ruminates over his plans.

Two days later, Katsuki Bakugo wakes up in Central Hospital to see Minoru Mineta, Hanta Sero, Toru Hagakure and Rikido Sato excitedly proclaiming that he is awake. While Toru goes to get a nurse, the other three catch Katsuki up to date with what has happened since he lost consciousness, and everyone's conditions.

Katsuki's classmates are glad that he is alright

Katsuki wakes up in Central Hospital.

In the same hospital, Gran Torino lies in his bed and thinks back to Nana Shimura's decision to give up her child, Kotaro Shimura in order to keep him safe from All For One.

In another hospital room, a doctor is giving Shota Aizawa a report on his injuries while Hizashi Yamada listens in from Shota's bedside. After the doctor mentions that the prognosis could have been much bleaker if Shota and Gran Torino had not gotten to the hospital when they did, Hizashi and Shota start to express their guilt about letting Tomura go, mourning the loss of their friend Nemuri Kayama.

Eijiro, Momo Mina and Mezo talking to Shoto

Momo, Mina, Eijiro, and Mezo visit Shoto's hospital room.

Meanwhile, Denki Kaminari, Kyoka Jiro and Fumikage Tokoyami are recovering in another hospital room. Outside of their window, they can see the crowds of people who have come to crowd the hospital. The three comment that due to the outcome of the last battle, the public has come there to protest against the heroes and Fumikage comments that these are dire times.

Momo Yaoyorozu, Mina Ashido, Eijiro Kirishima and Mezo Shoji are visiting Shoto Todoroki's hospital room. As Shoto looks to the protesting crowd below, his friends try to reassure him, having heard about his connection to Dabi. Shoto thinks back to Starservant's claims that Endeavor would bring destruction to everyone, and the more recent reveal of Dabi's true identity as Toya Todoroki and the hatred burning in his brother's eyes.

All Might watches over a comatose Izuku.

Outside of the building, reporters swarm Rei Todoroki, Fuyumi Todoroki and Natsuo Todoroki as they enter the hospital, desperate to get information about Dabi ad the Todoroki family, but are ignored. The Todoroki family continues on to Shoto's hospital room, where Momo informs them of his condition, reporting that Shoto's throat has suffered minor burns so he is unable to speak.

Katsuki, now out of his hospital bed despite his injuries, fights against Minoru and Rikido in a desperate effort to get to Izuku Midoriya's hospital room. Katsuki angrily states that if Izuku dies, he will kill him, as Hanta had informed him that while everyone else is conscious, Izuku is not, still heavily bandaged with All Might sat by his bedside.
