One's Justice (One's Justice Wanzu Jasutisu?) is the one hundred and sixteenth episode of the My Hero Academia anime and the third episode of the sixth season.
Summary[]
The Police HQ reports in on Team Edgeshot's advance on the Gunga Mountain Villa, while several groups of Heroes seal up the North, Southeast, and West exits of the Villa, with only the front entrance remaining. In the underground hall, Re-Destro wonders where Skeptic's regiment is when a Liberation soldier approaches them to warn that the Heroes have started to attack and have them surrounded, immediately flaring up Re-Destro's Stress levels.
Outside the Villa, the Vice Commander recognizes Chargebolt's Quirk as Electrification and intends to try and overload him with another million volts. But before he can, Edgeshot uses his Foldabody Quirk to execute his Ninpo: Thousand Sheet Pierce, stabbing into him and several Liberation soldiers, piercing a hole in their lungs, cautioning them not to move. Midnight then uses her Somnambulist Quirk to put several soldiers to sleep, with Kamui Woods following this up with his Lacquered Chain Prison to snatch several of them up. Several more find themselves sinking into the ground, courtesy of Mudman's Softening Quirk and are covered in Mushrooms thanks to Shemage's Quirk. Gang Orca praises the Class 1-B students on their good work as he and more Heroes charge toward the Villa's entrance.
Meanwhile, inside one of the rooms, Twice is confused as he's cornered by Hawks, using his feathers to keep him pinned down. He mentions how he was able to successfully communicate his information to the Hero Public Safety Commission through code, destroying the spying devices, which an annoyed Skeptic reacts to. Hawks continues that the plan was to overwhelm the Paranormal Liberation Front with numbers in order to not give Twice any extra time to use his Double Quirk. Twice tries to speak up but Hawks cuts him off, telling him it all appeared natural to keep an eye on him while reviewing liberation ideology, and asks not to put up a fight, intending to apprehend him to the police.
Twice begins to break down, remembering back to introducing Overhaul to the League of Villains, which resulted in Magne's death and the loss of Mr. Compress' arm, and that once again, everything has fallen apart because he brought someone in that he trusted. Twice cries out that he related to him which is why he thought he could trust him, and it'd be sad if he didn't. Hawks thanks him for this, telling him he was just unlucky, and that if he can atone for his crimes, he'll help him start over, believing him to be a good person. However, Twice yells out in retaliation, getting up to try and fight back, with Hawks claiming he doesn't want to fight him. Using his Double, Twice proceeds to unleash his Sad Man's Parade, declaring that his life is just for the sake of everyone else's happiness.
Back outside, Fat Gum calls out to Tsukuyomi, telling him he'll assist him and Suneater. He informs him how they have already sealed off the exits to the underground hall from outside, so all that's left is to seal off the ones inside the Villa. A group of Liberation soldiers attempt to defend the passageway, but are quickly taken out by Suneater using his Vast Hybrid: Chimera Centaur; Fat Gum compliments him on his cool line after defeating them which just embarrasses him.
With Fat Gum blocking the dark passageway, Tsukuyomi enters it, unleashing Dark Shadow at full power using Ragnarƶk, sending it spiralling downwards. Dark Shadow ends up colliding with Re-Destro, who combats it in his Stress: 100% form, however, Re-Destro's prosthetic leg is broken off, sending him off balance and allowing Dark Shadow to throw him back into the underground hall, and destroying the hidden passageway.
Dark Shadow then senses an ominous aura and returns back to Tsukuyomi, warning him about what he saw. Tsukuyomi believes he's talking about Re-Destro until Dark Shadow clarifies it to be an actual monster. Fat Gum says not to worry about it, since according to their reports, it won't move unless it receives a call from its master, who's currently asleep. As Fat Gum tells Tsukuyomi to jump into his stomach to take him back to the rear guard, he reveals they know all of this information because of Hawks, to his surprise. After stating Hawks to be somewhere in the battlefield, Tsukuyomi thinks back to Hawks' words during their Work Study, and that he will continue to keep getting stronger, and hoping he will watch out for him.
In the Villa, Twice declares he will take responsibility with his onslaught of Doubles, which are all promptly mowed down by Hawks' feathers. He's impressed by how fast they're being created, but also notes how less durable they are when they are doubled by Doubles. Twice laments on how fast the attacks are, while Hawks declares he won't let his emotions let him make a mistake now. He claims he did like Twice, irritating him to cry out that the League are his only friends, and attempts to make his way over to him. Hawks states that from experience, the ones who don't give up are the most dangerous for Heroes, so the only option left is to kill, slicing Twice up with his feather blade and standing over him.
Twice cries out that they don't deserve to be called "Heroes", since they always just abandon the down-and-out. He also tells him how Himiko would comfort him by wrapping him up in her handkerchief, and that this is the second time he's made a mistake like this, so believes she won't do it again. Despite this, he's fine with it because he just wants to protect their happiness, trying to create another Double to protect him, while Hawks, ready to kill, says he will let them know.
But then, Hawks is blown away by an array of Blueflames, as Dabi's foot steps on his head, laughing that he did let his emotions get to him, unable to notice his sneak attack. He then turns to Twice, telling him he didn't do anything wrong, and that Heroes are always the ones in the wrong. Dabi attempts to burn Hawks with another fire blast, but he's able to quickly jump out of the way, protecting Twice from the fire as well. Hawks tells Dabi that he was about to burn Twice too, but he claims it's fine since he knows Heroes are known for being able to save lives in an instant.
Hawks is surprised that Dabi was able to figure out his betrayal, asking how he knew, but Dabi simply states he never trusted him from the beginning. Hawks laments to himself how he has the worst matchup currently, against a fire-user with already burnt wings, and in a cramped space, and decides his primary goal is to quickly apprehend Twice and get out of the Villa. However, despite the damage done to Twice's body, he is able to create more Doubles to halt Hawks, allowing him to run off and giving Dabi an opening to blast more fire at the Winged Hero.
Dabi declares that with just Twice he can destroy all the Heroes, telling him to go wild, high fiving as they pass by. But then, Hawks appears in front of the door ready to attack, causing Dabi to realize he used the flames as a diversion to escape outside and fly back around. Knowing he's too fast, Dabi calls out Hawks' real name, "Keigo Takami", which leads him to hesitate for a brief moment, but still allow him to avoid Dabi's fire; he wonders how he knows his name and who he really is. On the balcony outside the room, Twice tries to recover, noticing all the Villains fighting and Himiko and Mr. Compress being chased by a Hero, and that he needs to protect his friends. But just as he creates his last Doubles, Hawks appears and is able to skewer him right in the back.
Himiko and Mr. Compress end up being captured by a Hero, due to being unable to use Himiko's detection evading techniques around the Hero's Quirk. The Hero declares that no matter their intentions, he won't allow them to wrong society, when Twice suddenly appears, stabbing the Hero in the head with a knife. Himiko and Mr. Compress are about to escape, telling Twice to Double to his heart's content, but "Twice" apologizes, as his body begins to crumble.
He reveals himself to just be a Double, doing everything in his strength to hold his shape, due to being dropped onto the concrete, while his real self lies on the balcony, dead. He tells them the Heroes' attack is because of Hawks' deception, and his own fault, apologizing to them, and attempting to give Himiko her handkerchief back. As he starts to melt away, he continues to apologize, while thinking of all the friends he made even despite the hardships in his life. Himiko embraces Twice, thanking him for saving her, while he lambasts Hawks for claiming that he was unlucky, and how he was truly happy to be there.
