Endeavor, Hawks & Trainees vs. All For One is battle taken place during the Final War between Pro Heroes Endeavor and Hawks, with help from U.A. students, Earphone Jack and Tsukuyomi, against the Villain, All For One.

Prologue[]

Hawks talking about All For One's weakness

Hawks talking about All For One's weakness.

The Heroes had discovered that Yuga Aoyama was acting as All For One's mole under duress, and decide to take advantage of this to set a trap for him and his allies. Using Hitoshi Shinso's Quirk, they make Yuga and his parents fool the villain without his Lie Detector Quirk perceiving anything wrong. They also make Neito Monoma learn to control Kurogiri's Warp Gate. The plan is to separate All For One from his allies, especially Tomura Shigaraki, so that they do not help each other, sending them to different regions of Japan where they will face teams of heroes specifically assigned to deal with them.[1][2]

Thanks to the information Stain gave them from Tartarus, they know that the villain cannot survive without his life support mask. Normally overwhelming him with numbers would be the best approach, but due to being capable of stealing Quirks, they can't give him the opportunity to take out fighters and receive more power, so instead they need to attack him with with their most skilled fighters in the smallest possible team, meaning the fighting comes down to Endeavor and Hawks working in tandem to deal the Demon Lord.[3]

A Star (Anime)

The Heroes arrive through the Warp Gate to settle the score with All For One's forces.

While Endeavor's preferred choice was to deal with his son, Dabi, he is convinced by Shoto and everyone else that he needs to be the one to take down All For One, being one of the strongest Pro Heroes left fighting. They also decide that they will warp All For One to the ruins of the Gunga Mountain Villa, being assisted by a team of other Pro Heroes and trainees to deal with any of the straggler villains left behind in the warping.

Once everything is ready, All For One is lured into an uninhabited urban area using Yuga and Deku as bait. Using Search, the villain makes sure the two boys are really alone before making his appearance. All For One congratulates Yuga for handing Deku to him on a silver platter, but then, to his surprise, Yuga attacks him with his Navel Laser, showing him what his true loyalties are.

The villains are trapped by the Troy defense system (Anime)

The villains fall into the trap of the heroes.

Although the attack hardly affects him, All For One is confused that he has somehow been deceived despite his precautions. However, he still considers that he has the upper hand in the situation since the two students are alone, so he uses his Warping Quirk to lure several of the last remnants of the Paranormal Liberation Front and the escaped inmates to the scene. Then, several Warp Gates open up around Deku; All For One thinks it is the work of Kurogiri, but to his surprise various heroes and students emerge from the portals.[2]

While All For One is still digesting how he was outsmarted, the heroes activate the Troy defense system, as numerous cells rise up to encapsulate and separate the villain force into the various parties. All For One wonders why they would go to the trouble since they should be able to break out quickly... until he realizes the real plan too late.[1]

In the few seconds that the villains were trapped, the heroes push the cells into new portals that led to assigned areas. The squad of Heroes led by Endeavor push the cell in which All For One is located towards the portal that takes them to Villa Ruins, where Hawks is there waiting for them.[4]

Battle[]

All For One prepares his mind games (Anime)

All For One assures Endeavor that the heroes are going to lose.

As soon as All For One is warped into the mountains, Hawks goes straight for his head with a pair of blades the second he arrives, but failing to break through his protective mask. Hawks apologizes to Endeavor for it, but the flaming hero replies he already expected the villain wouldn't go down so easily.

Endeavor begins to taunt the villain, saying that his own Warping Quirk cannot compare to Kurogiri's Warp Gate range, which means he can't go help Tomura since he is hundreds of kilometers away from their position. All For One admits that the plan to disperse the villains to different parts of Japan is a good strategy, if they really hope to win, pointing out it was necessary to split the villain forces due to the dwindling number of heroes. However, he warns him that pitting Deku against Tomura could backfire, and reproaches him for using his youngest son to clean up his mess with his older son.[4]

While fighting, they receive the report that Shoto has managed to defeat Dabi. Endeavor is surprised after hearing this, causing All For One to question if the look on his face is due to relief or grief. Hawks warns Endeavor not to listen to him, as All For One continues with his taunts, accusing the Flaming Hero of ignoring Toya and giving Shoto the responsibility of dealing with him, and debunking his justification for fighting him that the heroes "have so much to protect." The villain concludes his speech by assuring Endeavor that he is going to lose, as he extends his hand to show him a small sampling of the various Quirks at his disposal.[5]

Endeavor and Hawks vs All For One begins

Endeavor and Hawks attack All For One in sync.

Endeavor and Hawks ignore All For One's taunts and attack the Demon Lord simultaneously, who shoots several Razor Blades at them. Endeavor blocks the air attack with Hell's Curtain, while Hawks uses this distraction to attack All For One with his fiery Fierce Wings through it. All For One dodges the attack, knowing that it is a very obvious tactic on Hawks' part to catch him off guard, so he summons a liquid ward behind him that blocks Hawks' swords meant to hit his breathing mask again.

Hawks proceeds to think about how they're keeping All For One in the air to prevent him from decimating the rest of the Heroes with his shock waves like he did in Kamino, and that they'll continue to keep it close and attack him without letting him touch them. The villain taunts Hawks that even Recovery Girl couldn't restore his wings to their prime, and his few remaining feathers need aid from prosthetic ones to bring him up to his current speed. Hawks takes it in stride, shooting back that they're both crippled before stepping back to allow Endeavor to attack All for One with Vanishing Fist.

Hardflame Fan Anime

All For One tries to defend himself from Endeavor's furious attack.

All For One attempts to block with his Hardflame Fan, but the heat from Endeavor's consecutive attacks starts to pass through, and he's unable to reflect the indirect attack with Impact Recoil. Additionally, Hawks is keeping an eye on him so he doesn't get a chance to fight back. Therefore, the Demon Lord resorts to verbal attacks on Endeavor once he notes the Flaming Hero isn't fully matching up to Hawks' timing during their attacks.

Endeavor ignores this and keeps attacking, telling Hawks that their attacks are doing damage on him, since he doesn't possess a Super Regeneration Quirk. All For One continues to taunt him however, showing him all the Pro Heroes and students fighting on the ground, focused on their battle, while his mind is still distracted by thoughts of his family, asking him if he is pleased that his "masterpiece" defeated his "failed experiment". Hawks tells Endeavor not to fall for his taunts, but despite his efforts, Endeavor begins to lose control.

Endeavor lashes out at All For One

Endeavor is sliced by All For One.

All For One continues taunting Endeavor, revealing he had always has kept an eye on him because he's always been interested in his twisted longing for power, and wished to knew what would germinate from it, and thanks to that he learned about Toya's accident at Sekoto Peak. That's when All For One sticks the knife in further, confessing to Endeavor he was the reason he never found his son's body.

The revelation shakes Endeavor to the core and Hawks curses that the villain still had such a nasty ace up his sleeve. The Winged Hero flies towards Endeavor while crying out for him not to lose focus. Unfortunately, blinded with rage, the Flaming Hero rushes towards All For One, leaving his flank wide open that the gleeful villain exploits this to tear a huge chunk out of his torso with a fanged maw he forms from his hands.

Kyoka and Fumikage save Hawks from All For One (Anime)

Earphone Jack saves Hawks from All For One's Air Cannon.

As Endeavor falls, All For One attempts to unleash his Air Cannon Quirk against Hawks, asking "Nagant's Replacement" if he can dodge his blast at such close range. The Winged Hero realizes that he won't be able to evade so he decides to focus his last moments on ensuring that Endeavor lands safely, sending his feathers to help him. All For One fires his Air Cannon, but Hawks is saved when the attack is suddenly blocked by Earphone Jack's Heartbeat Wall, flown into the battlefield atop Tsukuyomi in his Black Fallen Angel. Hawks urges the students to get away from All For One, but Tsukuyomi replies that they are going to stay to help him.

All For One recognizes the two students as the "gnats around One For All", likening them to the "jobber characters" from his favorite comic book that only existed to make the Demon Lord look stronger. Earphone Jack confidently responds back that he should save those comments until after he has defeated them.[3]

The students nearly evaded AFO

The students narrowly dodge the villain's attack.

Thanks to Hawks' feathers, the wounded Endeavor reaches the ground without too much trouble. Thinking of his sons, he tries to return to combat, blaming himself for letting All For One get to him. In the air, Hawks determines via his feathers that Endeavor managed to dodge at the last moment which kept his lungs safe. Still, his wound is a nasty one and it will take time for him to come back, so he accepts the students' assistance in order to buy time. All For One also understands that Endeavor will not be long in standing back up, so he must kill the others as soon as possible in order to go to the aid of Tomura.

All For One identifies Earphone Jack as the team's weak link and attacks her with an array of mouths from his fingertips, but Hawks manages to maneuver her out of the way with his feathers while also striking All For One's mask with more feathers and his swords. Tsukuyomi manages to pick Earphone Jack up in the air and asks her to aim her sound waves at the mask to crack it. She agrees, albeit finds herself scared of All For One's power, realizing just who Izuku and Yuga have been dealing with the whole time.

The vestiges resist All For One (Anime)

The vestiges of the stolen Quirks rebel against All For One.

Noticing that Earphone Jack is trembling, All For One decides to combine various Quirks to transform his arm into an ultimate cannon and aims at the two students. Hawks is forced to use his feathers to deflect the blast, leaving him vulnerable for the villain to wound him with his Rivet Stab, and although he managed to save the lives of the students, the shot had managed to blow Earphone Jack's left ear off.

All For One starts mocking the students for trying to stand up against him and being way out of their league. Despite the injury, she angrily replies that she is fighting him for the pain he caused her friends, and attacks All For One with Heartbeat Surround: Legato. All For One endures the sound wave, thinking that what she is saying is the typical weaklings nonsense, and prepares to counterattack while stating that her power is very underwhelming. Then, something unexpected happens.

Soundwave Vibration-Enhanced Flight Feather Blade (Anime)

Hawks opens the first cracks in All For One's life support mask...

The vestiges of his stolen Quirks' former users spring from within him and hold him back, paralyzing him for the moment. All For One is confused to feel the wills of the people whose Quirks he's stolen, commenting that not even New Order was capable of that to this level, wondering if they are spurred off by the girl's determination to face him despite her lack of power compared to him.

Taking advantage of All For One's stillness, Earphone Jack calls out to Hawks, who after striking All For One three times in the same spot, notices he has opened up a crack. Throwing his sword into the sound waves, he unleashes a "Soundwave Vibration-Enhanced Flight Feather Blade" successfully shattering All For One's life support mask.[6]

Fumikage destroys All For One's helmet (Anime)

...and Tsukuyomi destroys it completely.

Earphone Jack proceeds to jump off Tsukuyomi to allow him to attack All For One while he is stunned, creating a giant fist with Ragnarƶk: Fleeting Blow to deal him a formidable blow that completely destroys his mask. Tsukuyomi catches his teammate as Hawks flies towards a helpless All For One to deal the killing blow with his swords, remarking that "even pesky gnats can be a pain in the butt".

The villain is aware that he could have dodged the previous attacks, however his awareness was delayed. Since he lost most of his senses in his fight against All Might, he gathered a large variety of sensory quirks to compensate, to the point that he is now more aware of his surroundings than ever before. All For One realizes that it wasn't Earphone Jack's attack that hindered his perception, but rather the fact that his authority over the consciousness of the stolen Quirks has been weakened due to the fact that he switched his original Quirk to a copy.

All For One regains control of his Quirks

All For One devours the rebellious vestiges.

Hawks is about to deliver the killing blow to finish him off once and for all, but All For One is successful in absorbing all of the Quirk consciousnesses within himself and unleashes a barrage of Rivet Stab attacks, emerging in all directions. Hawks throws himself in front of Tsukuyomi and Earphone Jack to protect them from most of the damage, while the stabs also gather the pieces of the broken mask and put it back together again. Just then, Endeavor returns to the battle, protecting the three Heroes from the attack, with his right arm being ripped off in the process, as All For One continues to taunt him about his stubbornness.

Within his mind, Endeavor envisions his younger self berating him for being weaker than ever, reminding him about how his father tried to save a girl from a villain, only for both of them to die in the process. This in turn was the catalyst for his inferiority complex and his envy towards the true supermen like All Might. Endeavor grabs "Enji"'s neck, who tells him he'll never be like All Might or Deku and should use being motivated by his own weaknesses as he always has.

Endeavor returns to fight AFO

The Flaming Hero is back!

Upon realizing this, Endeavor uses his very regrets to fuel his power and creates a new Vanishing Fist made entirely of flame to replace his right arm, striking All For One with it, to break the mask one more time. Endeavor declares to the Demon Lord that as long as he is alive, he will do his duty and end this fight.[7]

All For One had created a barrier in time to protect himself from Endeavor's fiery attack, although the impact knocked him backwards several meters. The villain can not believe that Endeavor has managed to make him feel the same feeling of discomfort All Might caused him in their previous fights, reaffirming his idea that there's nothing scarier then a wounded Hero.

Endeavor generates a fiery fist

Endeavor continues facing All For One despite losing his arm.

With Hawks giving him more speed with his feathers, Endeavor rushes in to catch a distracted All For One off guard, hitting the villain with a full-force Vanishing Jet Burn attack that blasts the villain downwards to the ground, crashing in the middle of the battle between the villains and heroes. Some of the latter even complain about Endeavor as the plan was to finish him off way high up.

Hawks asks Endeavor why he didn't finish him off with Prominence Burn, and Endeavor remarks that he had his guard up, and since he can't use it as many times as he wants, he needs to break through his defenses to ensure it connects. Endeavor blasts himself downward after All For One.

Heroes run away from Endeavor (Anime)

The heroes flee from the intense flames of Endeavor.

On the ground, as the flames die down, the heroes realize that All For One is among them. Kamui Woods immediately realizes what is about to happen and yells for everyone to retreat. Some ask him why not take the opportunity to bum-rush All For One now that they have the chance, but Kamui pushes some of them out of the way just as Endeavor comes down with another attack, scattering the nearby Heroes and Villains in every direction.

All For One created several barriers to protect himself from the impact, but Endeavor's attack manages to break through them, grabbing the villain and dragging him across the mountain without giving him a chance to recover.

Endeavor incinerates All For One

Endeavor incinerates All For One.

Due to his mask being destroyed and his body not listening to him, All For One tries to touch Endeavor to steal his Quirk. However, Endeavor shoots fire from his eyes which roast the villain's hand before he can make any sort of contact. Endeavor states that all his hands do is ruin people's futures, to which All For One claims he does too, with Endeavor agreeing.

While taking All For One as high as possible, Endeavor thinks about how the past cannot be erased and all the anger, punishment, and resentment will stay with him. But, the hero wants to fight for a better future for the next generation of heroes. He states to All For One that he will keep paying his penance and watch over Toya in the future, all the while his rage will continue to burn, blasting All For One with a Prominence Burn.

After such a devastating attack, All For One's body is completely charred. Endeavor confirms the villain is unable to regenerate, and even if he did, there's no surviving that attack without a body like Tomura's. Despite all the assurance, Hawks shouts to Endeavor to get away from the villain's body.

Prime All For One (Anime)

The restoration of All For One's body.

To Endeavor's surprise, All for One begins to speak, asking him if he really thought he would go to a big battle without a backup plan. With his original body having served its purpose and destined to be scrapped anyway, he decides to test something out. Everyone present is stunned when All For One's body begins to regenerate,[8] or more specifically, he is beginning to recover the appearance he had in the past before his confrontation with All Might.

It turns out that Kyudai Garaki had left All For One a reverse-engineered version of the Quirk-Destroying Drug that Tomura had stolen from the Shie Hassaikai, which he had altered to regain its original effect. He cautions All For One he can only use it once but it'll help him achieve his dream. All For One tells Endeavor he should feel proud that he made him use the risky card, while Tsukuyomi is able to recognize the villain's regenerative state as just like Eri's Quirk, Rewind.

All For One stealing capes and a Quirk

All For One starts stealing capes and Quirks from the Heroes.

Once his body is sufficiently restored, All For One drops to the battlefield, where the other heroes are, being chased by Hawks as he realizes what he's up to. As soon as he lands, All For One steals several capes to cover his nudity, and also takes the opportunity to steal the Quirk from a nearby Hero. Hawks rescues the hero from All For One's hands, while he slashes his face with his sword, but the effect of the Rewind closes the wound.

All For One states to Hawks he knows that using the drug's Rewind effect will eventually reduce him to nothing, but he is not bothered by this, because the baton has already been passed to Tomura. Now he only intends to complete his final task of rescuing Tomura from the trap set by the heroes.

In return, Hawks tries to buy time for Endeavor to launch Prominence Burn on him one last time, initiating a conversation with All For One about his delusional aspirations. All For One asks why Villains are feared over the world, and the Winged Hero responds it's because they do bad stuff, but All For One states that in a world filled with diverse cultures and values, those "bad stuff" is nothing more than an action to which the masses react with disgust, frustrating the future they imagine. This is why he wishes to obstruct the world's future.[9]

Aftermath[]

Himiko and her clones arrive through a Warp Gate

A long dead enemy reappears to exact revenge on his killer.

Before going to battle, All For One had ordered Spinner to storm Central Hospital to free Kurogiri, giving him several items to help him activate him, including Nana Shimura's stuffed hand that Tomura often wears on his face. All For One had implanted a microdevice in it to make sure Kurogiri would know exactly what to do once he woke up. Not without great efforts, Spinner succeeds in his mission, and Kurogiri begins to use his Warp Gate Quirk to open portals in the different places where Tomura's allies are.

While All For One was talking to an exhausted Endeavor and Hawks, two portals open above them. Dabi emerges from one, delighted to greet his father despite his body being badly damaged due to the energy he released during his fight against Shoto. Two Twice Doubles come out of the other, calling out for Hawks.

All For One states that the death of the "sad man" has unleashed the wrath of Himiko Toga, who thanks to Dabi gave her Twice's blood, so now she is about to bring ruin to the heroes. All For One teases Hawks saying that they are going to see what would have happened if he hadn't killed Twice so quickly in their last fight, causing Hawks to panic and cry out they need to kill them now.[10]
