Detroit Smash (デトロイトスマッシュ Detoroito Sumasshu?) is an Ultimate Move performed by All Might, Izuku Midoriya, and Katsuki Bakugo using the One For All Quirk.

Description[]

Detroit Smash is All Might's signature move that Izuku later mimics after inheriting One For All. The move is a simple punch focusing One For All's stockpiling power into the fist. All Might's punches at 100% are capable of creating wind pressure so powerful it can change the weather.[1]

All Might first uses this technique to save Izuku and Katsuki from the Sludge Villain.[1] Izuku first uses this technique at 100% in the Battle Trial[2] before dialing it down to 5% against Stain.[3] Izuku would later use this again during the Quirk Training Camp while training with Tiger.[4] Katsuki first uses this technique in conjunction with Izuku forming an uppercut while creating a beam of air pressure to dispel a thunderstorm created by Nine.[5]

All Might back at his time studying abroad in America, has been seen using this move as a straight forward punch, when he was in mid-air to creating wind pressure that redirect missiles to make them collide with each other.[6]

During All Might's final battle with All For One, All Might used this move to cancel out All For One's enhanced Air Cannon while moving Gran Torino out of the way.

During the battle against Humarise, Izuku use this move on Flect Turn.[7]

During the Paranormal Liberation War, Izuku uses this move using 100% of his power while battling with Tomura.

Izuku later uses this move, using 45% of his power, while battling with Muscular, during their second fight.[8]

During the Final War, Izuku uses his newly acquired Gearshift Quirk to perform a powerful Detroit Smash[9] and soon after, Detroit Smash: Quintuple; five Detroit Smashes in quick succession, both against "Tomura".[10]
