Delay Spot (ドレイン・スポット Dorein Supotto?) is the Quirk used by Bruno Gollini.[1]
Description[]
Delay Spot slowing down bullets.
Delay Spot grants the user the ability to create a semi-sphere-like bubble over an area, causing everything within the bubble to be stuck in slow motion, enough to incapacitate people and slow bullets down to a mere crawl. The user remains unaffected, allowing them to use their normal speed within the bubble. The user can also allow other objects or people to move normally within the bubble as long as they're touching them.
After being boosted by Overmodification, Delay Spot's range was extended greatly, with Bruno able to envelop a whole mansion yard.
Weaknesses[]
While objects do slow down significantly in the bubble, if an object is too fast, Delay Spot won't completely negate its damaging effects, such as when Deku launched into the bubble using Faux 100 Percent (in which he becomes faster than a speeding bullet), allowing him to land a brutal direct hit on Bruno.[2]
Usage[]
Deku bypasses Delay Spot with his speed.
Bruno is first seen using Delay Spot to retrieve Anna Scervino after the latter was taken by Ginji Kurau. Thanks to his Quirk's effects, people caught within Delay Spot are rendered harmless and helpless, allowing Bruno to easily deal with enemies and kidnap victims. Bruno can also use Delay Spot to harm others, as seen when Ginji was shot by a bullet intended for Anna and when Bruno pushed Giulio Gandini aside while on his motorcycle.
Because of his Quirk's capabilities, Bruno has shown to be arrogant while using Delay Spot, taunting Deku to come closer instead of running away. When the latter used Faux 100 Percent however, he was able to bypass the Quirk and take Bruno down easily.
