Deku Overlay (デク・オーバーレイ Deku Ōbārei?)[1] is an Ultimate Move performed by Izuku Midoriya using the Blackwhip Quirk.
Description[]
After becoming immobilized by the backlash of Gearshift, Deku uses his Blackwhip to reinforce and pull at the muscles and tendons within his body to simulate movement, which shows up as dark lines underneath his skin. When it spreads across his entire body, he takes on a more savage and ruthless-looking form, with Tomura Shigaraki commenting that it makes him look villainous. Four Blackwhip tendrils sprout from his back, two more from his torso, and his fingers are laced with black claws. His body is snaked with Blackwhip, wrapping around him as he becomes fully entwined. He then coils it around his mouth, shaping it into a gaping jaw.
Deku first uses this Ultimate Move in his fight against Tomura in his right arm to use a whole-handed Delaware Smash[2] before spreading it across his whole body, allowing him to control his movements while sprouting tendrils from his body at the same time into his attacks.[3]
