Surely we're going to see big changes in our day-to-day lives. At this point, we ought to be looking into how those changes will present themselves and what we can do to prepare.
Daikaku is a man with noticeable facial wrinkles, who wears his greenish, straw-colored hair slicked back behind his head. His most prominent features are the two horns protruding from each side of his forehead, which is a result of his Quirk. Daikaku chose to have his right horn removed in order to relay the news with more ease.
He's always seen wearing a suit, consisting of a dark blue blazer, a pale pink shirt, and a brown tie, as well as his square-shaped glasses.
Personality[]
Daikaku is shown to be a professional newsman. He is said to report the news with a fair and impartial point of view, using language that is easy to understand, something that has earned him the trust and respect of many households in Japan. It is implied that he is quite thick-skinned, as despite the controversy he faced for removing one of his horns, he continues reporting the news.
Abilities[]
Quirk[]
Big Horn: Daikaku's Quirk gives him a pair of sheep-like horns on his forehead. He cut off one of his horns in order to relay the news with more ease.[1]
His surname Miyagi (宮城) means "Palace castle" while also the Yagi part of his name being a pun on 山羊, Japanese for sheep. His given name Daikaku (大角) literally means "Big horn".
As Daikaku's horns often obscured his newscasts and presentations, he voluntarily chose to have one of his horns removed for the sake of his audience's viewing convenience. However, a human rights group took this as a sign of Daikaku rejecting his Quirk, a sign of disrespect among Quirk users, and overall adding to the rejection that many face in Japan's Quirk-based society. Despite the controversy he received, Daikaku continues to report the news.[2]
Daikaku shares both his Japanese and English voice actors with other characters.
His Japanese voice actor, Go Inoue, also voices Stain.
