If we're really in the clear, then... kid... no... Koichi... I've got a request for you. Give a message to my wife and child. Tell them, "Your husband and daddy was a great hero."
Christopher Skyline to Koichi Haimawari in "Limits and Catastrophe"

Christopher Skyline (クリストファー・スカイライン Kurisutofā Sukairain?), also known as the Playboy Hero: Captain Celebrity (キャプテン・セレブリティ Kyaputen Sereburiti?) (also abbreviated as CC), is a Pro Hero in My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. He was the former top-ranked Hero in America.

Appearance[]

Christopher is a very tall, well-built man with a cleft chin, angular nose and a sharp, chiseled jaw. His hair is styled like a mohawk of blond hair swept back along the top of his head, and he has small, downward-tilting light blue eyes with quite long eyelashes.

His hero costume consists of a cerulean skin-tight bodysuit, cut off at his knees and halfway own his upper arms, with yellow trims and a tick-like logo with a red star in the center stamped onto his chest, a thick black line running down each side of his suit. He wears matching shin-pads and shoulder-pads, as well as a yellow belt with a large buckle, a long red cape and a dark blue-tinted visor.

Personality[]

Episode 8 (Vigilantes)

Captain Celebrity: the Shining American Hero.

Christopher is very much a stereotypical American jock, arrogant and self-confident to a fault with an overwhelming love of attention and praise. As a result, he's often prone to showing off for the cameras even during a crisis, and is reluctant to deploy before his media team is in place. Regardless, his wife has described him as "too kind", and his constant showing off and bombastic personality are in part due to an honest desire to make people smile and win their affection. He is rarely malicious and truly heroic in a crisis, but his poor judge of character, lack of tact, and inability to be authentic often leads him to coming off as superficial and false.

Captain Celebrity scandals

Christopher being a ladies' man has earned him much controversy.

He is also a well-known playboy and a flirt, despite being married, something that has earned him nicknames such as "Captain Catastrophe" and "the Flying Stallion". This flirtatious attitude has also led to several lawsuits, to the point where his wife Pamela has pretty much made a business with them. This seems mostly down to his obsession with his alpha male image and desire for attention. Indeed, Makoto Tsukauchi puts most of his troubles down to entrapment within ridiculous scandals and he denying actively cheating, though his lack of self-reflection means that he's often not even aware when his behavior could be considered inappropriate. This isn't helped by him being notably macho and a playboy, being eager to carry pretty ladies to safety but showing great reluctance to be seen rescuing men.

His controversial reputation became so bad that Christopher could no longer do hero work in his home country of America, causing him to travel to Japan so he could try rebuilding his career there. Without Pamela to keep him in line however, he soon started to slip back to his womanizing nature while on the job. However, spending a year under Makoto's management and learning that he was going to be a father prompted him to stop his skirt chasing ways and become someone a child could respect. After an incident involving a villain's suicide-bombing, he was forced to compromise his own safety for the sake of civilians caught in the crossfire, which left him rather humbled. While some of his extravagant qualities have remained, Christopher has managed to see his own flaws and improve himself, both as a person and a hero.

Abilities[]

Captain Celebrity Superhuman Strength (Anime)

Captain Celebrity lifting a cruise ship.

Overall Abilities: Captain Celebrity is one of the most prominent and powerful professional heroes from the United States. Boasting immense physical strength, supersonic flight, and a versatile force-field Quirk, he stands out even among Japan's top heroes. While his flamboyant personality and ego once clouded his reputation, Captain Celebrity underwent a significant transformation over time—becoming more humble, cooperative, and dedicated to saving lives without seeking personal glory.

Captain Celebrity has cultivated a positive public image and remains the only known hero aside from All Might to establish deep-rooted hero connections in both Japan and the U.S. While not surpassing All Might in raw power, Christopher exceeds in areas like aerial rescue, teamwork, and emotional intelligence. His ability to perform high-risk tasks, such as sea rescues, large-scale evacuations, and structural support, proves his mastery over both his Quirk and his duties as a hero.

Tactical Intellect: Captain Celebrity demonstrates exceptional control over his Quirk, using it with precision in crisis scenarios. His tactical intellect is best shown by how he's able to share his aerodynamic barrier to protect others without leaving himself exposed, such as when he saved three children from a sudden explosion while simultaneously shielding a portion of the Tokyo Sky Egg observatory from collapse. His ability to rapidly assess threats and act decisively under pressure marks him as a veteran hero.

Enhanced Reflexes: Captain Celebrity's reflexes remain sharp even under extreme duress. Despite being injured and pushed past his physical limit, he was able to react to a sudden blast in time to shield civilians and later catch The Crawler mid-fall after a coordinated ambush. His awareness and timing reinforce his status as a high-caliber hero.

Enhanced Stamina: Captain Celebrity has showcased extraordinary endurance, notably by supporting the collapsing Sky Egg structure, which contained over 50,000 civilians, while enduring serious injuries. He maintained his position and barrier until reinforcements arrived, ensuring a complete evacuation without civilian casualties.

Quirk[]

Flight ( () (こう) Hikō?): Captain Celebrity's Quirk grants him high-speed flight and tactile telekinesis, producing a protective barrier of kinetic energy around his body.

  • Aerodynamic Barrier: A telekinetic energy field envelops Christopher while in flight, shielding him from temperature extremes, explosions, and physical attacks. This barrier can be extended to protect others or objects, though the more he covers, the thinner and less durable it becomes. He can use it to keep collapsing structures stable or to shield civilians mid-flight.
  • Immense Strength: Through his Quirk, Captain Celebrity greatly amplifies his physical strength, allowing him to punch with force on par with All Might, topple giant kaiju, lift cruise liners, and physically support the Sky Egg observatory and its tens of thousands of occupants.
  • Immense Speed: Captain Celebrity can fly at supersonic speeds with agility, using his barrier to negate the effects of wind resistance, inertia, and G-forces. He can accelerate, react, and maneuver in high-stakes scenarios with precision, demonstrated when he intercepted an explosion mid-flight and shielded civilians in mere moments.
