Summary[]
The first years apologize for crowding around Shoto and Katsuki, saying how excited they were and that they were both inspirations to them. Tenya reprimands the students, while Shoto and Katsuki anxiously hide behind him, telling them they are still human and are still recovering from the battles. Hitoshi assumed that Katsuki would love the crowds, which Hanta replies that even he gets flustered with that many people. Izuku points out that girls have always kept their distance from him, so he might not be used to the attention, while Denki and Minoru bemoan their popularity.
Before the first years leave, one of them speaks up to Izuku, saying that seeing him fight gave them all the courage and felt like they had to step up to do something themselves, calling him inspiring. Izuku awkwardly responds, as Spinner's face flashes in his head while he thinks about "this pain". As the rest of Class A come back together, Eijiro notes how the battles were intense, and they were at the center of it all, not blaming the kids for getting so excited. At this time Ochaco watches blank faced as she feels a "zing" in her chest. In the staff room, Present Mic says the media is asking to interview Class A again, which Eraser Head denies; Ectoplasm points out some would welcome the chance, but Eraser reminds him that others wouldn't, and they take priority.
Later, Class A join up with some Heroes in a city on reconstruction duty, assisting Fat Gum, Suneater, and Best Jeanist in demolishing and repairing a section of buildings. Katsuki notices Edgeshot also there, still a tiny thread, but slowly recovering, now to the point of having little hands. He asks if he'll ever get back to normal, but Edgeshot confidently says from the outset he intended to seize the day and triumph, making Katsuki smile.
Shortly afterwards, the local civilians provide food for the students to eat for lunch. One of the men states his property got blown off the map in the battle, which Izuku apologizes for, but he explains he didn't mean any harm in that, as when he saw them all fighting the good fight, they realized they couldn't just keep moping around, and that they're ready to do their part to help rebuild. Just then another bus arrives as Cementoss walks out with the first years, who insisted on apologizing for their actions from earlier. One of the students shouts that their senpai fought so hard, so now they want to do their part to help in return. They are given minor tasks to assist, as one of the civilians points out that one turn of good, hard work inspires the next. Izuku and Tsuyu turn to Ochaco who says that little by little, things are taking a positive turn, running off to "happily" eat some onigiri, but the two of them can tell that Ochaco is putting on a front.
That night, because they eased up on dormitory requirements, students who wanted to go back home could, Tsuyu reveals that Ochaco decided to go home for a bit, but is unnerved she has been ignoring her texts. Ochaco returned to the mountainside in front of Troy, staring off at the now rebuilt cities. She recalls how back during the Final War, the camera that was recording their battle died right as the Doubles were vanishing, meaning that there was no camera that captured the end of their battle. She thinks about how the cityscape's looking back to normal already, and unlike the other times, it really is over, with everything settled. She's glad that the world is facing forward and ready to bring it all back, and loves that everyone is smiling again, but can't hold her tears back as she is reminded of Himiko Toga's crying face, desperately attempting to shut away all her pain just like last time. As she continues to break down, Izuku calls out to her having found her.
