From Midoriya to Shimura (
Summary[]
Izuku watches Tenko crying to Mon, realizing it is the same sensation he felt during their fight; witnessing as his Decay manifests and the dog crumbles away. He then sees Hana appear, and figures out what is about to happen, which is the core of it all. As Hana screams and Tenko cries out and reaches for her, a now child Izuku steps in front and grabs his hands, intending to put an end to this. His arm begins to decay away, so taking advantage of the realm where memory materializes, he visualizes to picture himself not letting go while still remembering his hands.
Tenko asks why, and Izuku manages to say it's because he saw him crying, all the while thinking about how all of One For All has been smashed against him, so now the last piece to hit him with is himself. Tenko responds that it's all wrong and that he chose to do that, it was his choice to destroy the house and his family, otherwise what else is the point of his hands, breaking down and wondering who else would ever validate his existence. Izuku continues to be rejected as he's hit with a huge surge of Tenko's emotions, but he refuses to let go. He feels a strong hatred and catharsis weighed against grief and confusion, knowing that Tenko is still wavering on the edge.
Tenko demands Izuku get his hands off him, while memories of being abandoned flash through his mind, while Izuku's thoughts about how to handle Tomura with the One For All vestiges flash through his. The massive rush of hatred is starting to crack as Izuku is able to say that others reaching out to take his hand gave him peace, recalling when Tenya grabbed his back when he went rogue, and declares that's why he's here. Tenko finally lets go, with Izuku surviving, but with his arms decayed away.
Tenko recalls playing with his friends Mikkun and Tomo at the park, where they tell him that he should be All Might. However, Tenko then tells Izuku that he is a Villain, that he fights in the name of evil to destroy, as visions of the League of Villains appear beside them. As he turns into Tomura, he states that it doesn't matter if he stamps out his hatred, as even if he winds up hollow, the Villains need a hero of their own. Around the world, several people watching the broadcast side with Tomura to kill Izuku and to destroy it all, while the Counter-Force report in on the fingers crumbling away, but unable to see Izuku.
Suddenly, Tomura witnesses an unfamiliar memory of Kotaro greeting a man from "Koga Construction", as they casually chat between each other, the man recommending a doctor for Kotaro to see. He is confused as he sees another memory of them out drinking, where the man asks Kotaro about his son's Quirk, who responds that there's nothing yet. Izuku is also aware this isn't Tenko's memory, both of them wondering who this is, when suddenly, a monstrous form of All For One's vestige re-emerges and swallows up Tomura. He laughs at the "foolish vessel" for losing in a battle of wills to an absolute nobody, mocking him for striving for strength while being invariably weak, stating that not once in his life has any choice been his own.
