Stars ( (しゅ) (やく) Shuyaku?) is the three hundred and forty-fourth chapter of Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia.

Summary[]

Prior to Class 1-A leaving U.A., All Might, Naomasa, and Nezu explain to the class of their plans to deceive All For One. They remind them how unlikely it is they'll be able to track them down in their search, however, this works to their benefit as it allows them to draw him out by getting him to loosen up. Naomasa explains how they assume that All For One is using Search to monitor everyone, and everything they've done since Izuku returned will make him believe that they're being exhausted, which will allow them to catch him off guard, and utilize Shota's plan of having Yuga choose the location to lure him out.

Class 1-A react in joyousness over Yuga's involvement, however Momo reminds them that his father said they would be killed if they lied, meaning All For One must have a way of determining whether people are lying or not. Naomasa says they've figured that out, as due to knowing they only contact All For One through voice, and unable to verify with all of his hidden allies, he must have a way to determine the truth through voice, meaning if they are able to deceive him through their voices, he will appear before them.

In order for this plan to take effect, All Might calls in Shota's next piece, Hitoshi Shinso, to the class' excitement. Tsuyu says she was surprised to hear about the plan, as during the Joint Training Battle he mentioned he couldn't make people talk, and Hitoshi explains that since he was supposed to be transferred into the Hero course in April, he had to train hard to keep up with everyone, so managed to push through the limits of his Quirk.

Hitoshi brainwashes the Aoyamas

Hitoshi uses his Brainwashing on the Aoyamas to fool All For One.

He explains that he'll be able to brainwash and make Yuga and his parents talk so that his motives and their emotions won't come into play at all. Class 1-A cheer on and praise Hitoshi for his growth as well as Shota for training him, while Nezu explains he got permission from acting Hero Public Safety Commission President Yokumiru Mera since he doesn't have his Provisional Hero License yet. Fumikage then asks what they do after luring them out, and if it is even possible to deploy all the Heroes without being found out, but All Might states that the Heroes don't need to be there in advance.

Meanwhile at Kurogiri's cell in Central Hospital, Shota and Vlad King inform Neito Monoma of the special request from All Might, asking if he can handle it. Neito asks if they're serious about him being able to copy and master the Warp Gate Quirk in a few days, with Shota apologizing that they've been unable to reach him, unsure if he is Kurogiri or Oboro Shirakumo currently. He also adds that his Erasure is all but useless with just one eye, meaning he'll be sidelined in the battle. Neito reflects on how he heard that during the Jaku City incident, it would've been a complete massacre if it wasn't for Shota.

Neito thinks about how he's been told his whole life that he can't become a Hero with his Quirk, and that he's just a supporting character, however Vlad King reassures him, as this plan is one that would never work without everyone's help: there is no such thing as a bit player, and that he has always been a star. Hitoshi proceeds to use his Brainwashing on Yuga and his parents to contact All For One, and on the day of the operation, Neito uses Warp Gate to summon all the Heroes to the battlefield.

A Star

The Heroes charge into battle!

The Heroes and Villains charge toward each other, while All Might and the Counterforce observe from Central Hospital, stating just like they expected, he tends to end it all here so he can get One For All. Tomura touches the ground, only to notice something peculiar, so commands Dabi to attack. Dabi taunts his father, preparing to burn everyone with his fire, only for a large explosion of ice to appear and cancel it out. Emerging from another Warp Gate, Shoto and Class 1-A join the battle, with Dabi and Shoto yelling at each other.

All For One wonders if they plan on fighting in an all-out brawl, when All Might activates the Troy system. Suddenly, cages emerge from beneath the battlefield, surrounding all the villains in individual metal containers. All For One knows they're aware they could break through them all easily, until he realizes what their plan is. All Might and Naomasa declare that even though they tried to bring him down once before and All Might's stomach was destroyed, they're still alive, and this time for sure they'll take him down. Neito summons several more Warp Gates around the cages, as the Heroes prepare to shove them all in, to split up the villains.
